Wow ! What a wonderful place. What awesome treatment !!

Me and two friends (all teachers from South Africa on a 2 week fishing and stressreleasing breakaway ) enjoyed our stay @ the Desert Sky Backpackers form 04/07/2017 till 14/07/2017.

On our way home we were already planning our next trip (and where we going to stay - needless to say)

DO NOT STAY AT THIS PLACE. The staff are rude, especially the Indonesian lady that works there. She was extremely disrespectful and charged me for 2 extra nights and refused to let me leave until I paid. Absolutely horrible. Will never stay there again.

This is a good hostel, all rooms are located around a nice garden with grass. The bathrooms are clean as well as the kitchen and the personal is friendly.
We where there in low season and it was really quiet

This backpackers is the reason I doubled my stay in Swakop. It's spacious grass area makes for beautiful mornings waking up under the sun. The lounge room is great for using the good wifi. The location 3 blocks from the beach and 2 from the adventure centre and sand dunes is spot on. I'd come back to Namibia to stay here again. They even have dogs and cats that walk around living the attention 👌🏼

Went here on the low season, meaning that there weren't many people around. There's two dorms, one with 4 beds and another one with 8 beds. Also a few private rooms and camping. The place is very clean and well organized with nice employees and comfortable beds. The only negative side is that there wasn't hot water.

This is one of the best hostels I've ever been to: Everything is very clean, rooms are neat, the owners are super friendly and helpful and you get great value for your money! You can choose between camping, dorms and private rooms. Besides the hostel comprises a shared kitchen and bathrooms as well as a neat patio! The owner's animals (2 dogs and 1 cat) are charming and always demand attention from arriving guests :)
If you're in town this is the place to be!

Nice people, safe area, TV and wifi, good facilities and great location. 2 minute walk to the beach and 5 minutes to the town centre.
