Nice location. Nice view from the bedrooms and stoop. Right next to the beach. Playground across the street. Have a swimming pool with braai utilities.

Service is very good and it is priced rite. The rooms are very neat and some of the rooms have a nice sea view.

Absolute poor service. No internet in room. Had to wait for breakfast while they had to rush to tiwn to fetch eggs.

The Accomodations at Long Beach Lodge could have been a pleasurable experience had it not been for the sub standard customer service!! I registered with my children (3),for two nights. On the first night after a nice night on the town, we returned to our room to find 1 towel, no shower gel/soap, no wash cloths, unsanitary drinking glasses. To add to this dismay, the room was ice cold when we checked in and we were promised a heater. Upon discovery of the aforementioned, I quickly returned to the front desk to inquire regarding prior communication with the hostess, she was not available. I explained to Security my issues of towels and a heater. Security returned with 4 Bathmats for me to use as towels!?! I was told that that I would not be able to get a heater bcuz the hostess was sleeping, to which I replied " your kidding right?!"He apologized. I'm glad to say the hostess slept soundly!!
Day # 2;
Our stay Included a Hot breakfast. We were given all and anything, not Hot! When asking for hot prepared food, we were ask what is it we would like,(eggs)and how would we like it prepared? We order simple scrambled eggs with cheese, bacon and or sausage. We received warm scrambled eggs, no cheese no bacon. I'm done!! At a price @$120.U.S per night, I decided that I was just beaten and that the Protea Long Beach Lodge @ Walvis Bay had gotten the upper hand on me a Seasoned New Yorker!! Until breakfast Sunday morning, which I attended to get a cup of tea and some fresh fruit. In the dining area, there was a European family of 5,being served the breakfast I ordered the day before. Now I'm hot!! The family was being catered to by staff, I didn't know existed!! Really?! I quickly W/O hesitation checked out. After some research a d investigation I discovered that this lodge is,a subsidiary of the Marriott chain, of which I'm a dedicated customer. Maybe it time to assign
loyalties elsewhere.

It is a safe and beautiful haven. They respect your privacy. Comfortable and friendly. Farley priced. Well considering Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt stayed here it is truely a destination worthy of my solitude needs.
