Excellent place with few activities to maximize relaxation. One can go on a hike (self or guided), AM and/or PM game drive, many spa options, or swimming in the indoor or outdoor pool. Place offers something for both the active and non active.

Serendipity plus expansive hospitality bundled together to provide a truly memorable experience.
From booking , arriving, and throughout our entire stay, there was not one detail that was overlooked. The best way to describe the " method" of all staff of GocheGanas is - " not a problem". This was displayed with regards to our wish to dine a bit later than most, eat at the bar instead of dining room. The bar staff impressive with extensive knowledge and happily catering to every request we made. Whilst not partaking in any of the Spa treatments, they again made provisions for our request to utilise the well designed and impressive steam room/sauna ( it is stoked by an actual furnace! Thus requires prior notice to bring up the heat) - as the Spa "closed" at 530-6 pm, we requested use ( if possible ) at a later time. We were always met with the response of " not a problem".
The lodge is very well designed, with individual huts that provided absolute privacy, whilst still being set up like a small community:) . The amenities both inside each hut and the surrounds maintain the local flavour whilst still providing every luxury one would expect at a 5* resort. As one investigates the internal and external surrounds, you constantly are delighted with new discoveries. From the adjoining outdoor shower ( if you're brave! - gets incredibly bitterly cold once sundown during winter) to the "open air " bathtub , lavishly offers up locally made bath salts , shower gels, body lotion.
The dining room, again well appointed, with staff immediately on hand to assist. The meals are set, offering three courses ( if you're able!) but one can select from the set, and on more than one occasion, just asked if we could keep it simple and had some soup and salad ( YUM!) and hung out at the bar.
The expansive, awe inspiring landscape is beyond breath taking. The sunsets. Incredible! There are areas that have been cleared and designed with the photographer in you in mind. The night sky is SO clear, devoid of light pollution, has now made this area a renowned astronomy viewing location. With prior notice, and a minimum of 4, a professional astronomer provides stargazing sessions, bringing a high power telescope to enhance your experience.
Even without that benefit, we brought our own telescope, spending the night hours scoping out and experimenting with astrophotography techniques ( with some success ) . However, one doesn't have to have a telescope to appreciate the beauty of the all encompassing surrounds.
The day wildlife safari outing proved to be another notable highlight. John, our guide for that trip, was not only fascinatingly knowledgeable, but fun, friendly and genuinely thoughtful, as our outing took us into the evening hours and the temperature dropped radically. ( John made a quick notation, saw that I was becoming quite uncomfortable - so on wrapping up afternoon tea, brought out two super snugly blankets to wrap around me) Being the centre that it is, and going just that little bit further.an hour after we arrived back from the safari outing, two staff members came to our hut to check up on us, and procured a splendid hot water for me☺️ and chocolates . ( must have gotten out how the city chick was frozen solid!!!) . Just a very thoughtful and much appreciated gesture.
The animal wildlife, along with being prolific, are healthy and well catered for with an abundance of variety, providing many a photographic moment.
The three day trip we took went far too swiftly, so with that and the knowledge of what we can look forward towere booked in and ready to return to GocheGanas wellness spa next week with much anticipation.
