  We had a great experience during a recent weekend at Bobbejaan Dam. Although it was bitterly cold and the dam was dry due to the drought, we had the entire place to ourselves with three families and it was a wonderful remote setting. Our kids enjoyed hiking around and climbing on all the surrounding rocks. Waterbuck visited the water hole each night. Ostrich even wandered through the dry dam. The braai facilities are wonderful and the fire pits are really well designed. The tents are comfortable and the bathroom/kitchens are in great shape with all the necessities. My only complaint is the way the tent connects to bathroom. There is a very small space of about half a meter between the zipper of the tent and the door of the bathroom. It's very frustrating and difficult to pass between the two rooms, especially at night. It would have been better if there was either more space between, or if the two were connected without having separate doors. Otherwise, this place was perfect for the weekend!
