A very nice location right close to the beach under shady trees. Chalets are extremely basic, and could really use a much better cleaning especially utensils, glasses etc before guests arrive. There were a number of items missing on the check sheet which were also reported.

Management also needs to check up on things such as windows and braai grids - if there is a huge hole in it, it needs to be fixed or replaced!

We stayed in a chalet. Although not luxurious, it is clean and has everything that you need. The area has beautiful shade trees and is conveniently close to the dive camp, beach and local pubs and restaurants.

Strab!! Ponta Malongane is a fantastically situated spot, with plenty to do in and around, and to live the exotic rural village life we are all looking for, for just a little while. Have had the most fantastic times here.

Well shaded camping stands and just a short walk to the beach. Ablution facilities are old but clean. It is not that busy and my preferred place in Southern Mozambique.

The campsite location is amazing but the facilities are in serious need of a touch up!
The bins are not emptied with dogs raiding them nightly. Stray dogs really detract from the place and resulted in us leaving early!
The snorkeling is awesome!!

Budget accommodation, if you require private living don't book the tent or reed cabanas, communal kitchen and bathrooms, showers work but are not the best, nice bar, friendly staff, good food, right on the beach. Go off season if you want to avoid the spotlight bakkie quad racing guido boys. Beach dogs can become a nuisance if you don't like dogs, but I love dogs. Proper Mozambique type living, I would go there again.

The place is very nice and beautiful , less people because it’s accessible via 4*4 only. I rate it even better then main ponta do ouro.

Briliant views, nice beach and snorkeling. Ablutions were very dirty and smelly, need better management.

We had a big stand, enough space for all our camping gear and tents. The amblisusion blocks needs some attention. The locals are very inviting and caring. Will definitely come back!

If you're fed up with Ponta do Ouro's noisier atmosphere, drive for 20 minutes more and stay at Ponta Malongane. It's much quieter but can also have some of the best things from Ponta di Ouro, including the beach, ocean safaris and a couple of bars and restaurants.

5 stars all the way except for the bar!
Bar gets only 2stars. If you buy drinks in town or at any other bar they serve R&Rd the right way. Here you tend to get cheated with prices or the barman will tell you that prices have gone up where the menu still says the same price.

For the rest of the camp and all its amazing. Friendly staff.

Our hearts remain here every time we depart, for months and months which is why we keep returning! Gorgeous white beaches, Turtles, Scuba diving, Tranquil Coastal Forest campsite with basic yet functional chalets. Intimate little restaurants and roadside bars, owned and run by friendly locals. Gorgeous tropical climate - I can go on for quite a while

Awesome dive facilities. Thanks to DM Lerato for great dives! The accommodation needs some serious updating but the camp is under new management now, so give it time to be revamped. Tractor, ducks and their outboard motors have been replaced, it makes for a good ride out to the reefs.
