Standards have dropped a bit, 3rd time visit here and the Wi-Fi is always going down, the breakfast didn't have bacon and the room was not as clean as it should be

The Montebelo Girasol is new and modern. Being a circular hotel means the rooms are wedge -shaped. Shower, no bath. All very clean. The water for the shower could be turned up a few degrees. The breakfasts were generous, enough to keep you going until mid afternoon. The staff were quietly friendly and helpful.

This refers to the Sunday and Wednesday bacalhau (salted codfish buffet), at the restaurant. If, as me, you happen to be a bacalhau lover, this is a place to go for lunch on Wednesdays or Sunday's. It's just magnificent. One can taste, among appetizers and mains, around 10 to 12 bacalhau dishes. And they are wonderfully cooked.

After the revamping of the place it is looking a lot better and fresh. The cuisine is of high standard and the service is good. Unfortunately it is not cheap; the buffet could have a little bit more of options but it is very good nevertheless.
