Can't figure what the hell is going on at this place. Doesn't fit in the area. Food was outstanding though. Service was not. Missing the Baja vibe.

The staff was friendly and spoke good enough English that we could communicate well enough. The shrimp tacos were amazing. The views are outstanding and we had the whole dining area to ourselves until a nice Canadian couple of showed up towards the end of our meal.

Absolutely fantastic! It's just what I needed! Relaxing! Away from the hustle and bustle of life! Enjoy the ocean! Listen to the waves! Unplug! Far off the regular path of life. Great restaurant!

After all the crappy things my group went through to get here LOL after our car caught fire and we had to hitch hike about 15 - 20mins from this Canadian kind couple I was not expecting much to be honest of the hotel. I really thought what we seen online might have been a not true to images.
This place was a haven in the middle of nowhere. Meaning it was beautiful! Peaceful! Not many guest and the staff was truly amazing.
Hector was our favorite, he even came out with us as I ask the front desk if we could have some company and feel safer out in the sea of Cortez. The 3 of us had a blast!
The food is amazing
They are very friendly and will help with any request needed.
The rooms are stunning, neat floor plan, cool shower, nice big windows, lots of animals roaming around owned by locals and guest I think.
The beach is stunning!
Amazing walk I highly recommend do as much as you can either way.
Good fishing also from the edge, we watched a local get pretty lucky. Just follow the birds.
Clean place, nice guests, reception is so helpful.
He even drove us to the airport

Fine place as long as you know what you're in for. It's in the middle of nowhere which is fine if you just want to get away from everything. There's a dirt road that will take you there from San Jose Del Cabo so be prepared for that as it's 45 minutes - 1.15 hr. depending which route you take (there are no signs). When we arrived around 8pm they showed us to our roomit was in the process of being cleaned so we had to wait for them to finish cleaning up the confetti/balloons etc. which they didn't manage to get all picked up. Our room was over the restaurant/bar so if you want to sleep in, stay in the other wing of the hotel. The rooms had large windows which is nice but you're neighbors can see in your room so we ended up keeping blinds closed. The pool is more of a pond type thing with a t-pee on topkind of randomthe lounges were not very inviting - I didn't see anyone lounging on them in the 2 days I was there. There was nowhere to sit outside other than the chairs/tables at the restaurant/bar. Food was good and staff was nice. Website describes this as a luxurious resort which it's notas long as you're not expecting that and want to stay in this region for surfing/snorkeling/diving/getting away from everything you'll be fine.

Summary: Vidasoul is a ridiculous deal and I will absolutely be back. Like in a month. It's a true gem. I loved my 8 day stay there. Great for couples, adults, and kids that love the outdoors.
It is a great place for people who enjoy the outdoors but also enjoy luxuries. I dont like leaving my temperpedic when I travel so I was pretty thrilled when I saw they carried them. And as a surfer the place gives you easy access to everywhere in the east cape. It lies 40 minutes east of San Jose Del Cabo and is mostly an empty open newly paved road. People may complain about the drive to and from Vidasoul but that is where I get the best pictures and see the most wildife. If you visit Cabo and don't head to the east cape you are missing out on some of the most beautiful beaches in Mexico, and you can have it to yourself. And I much prefer the empty dirt road to the city traffic.
I never once felt unsafe. I got my jeep stuck in the sand on an isolated beach and was stranded. It was an absolutely gorgeous white sand beach just up the road from Vidasoul so it wasn't that bad a of a place to get stranded lol. After walking on the road the first local family that passed me in a car also helped pull the jeep to safety which was no small task. I will forever be grateful to them for their help and kindness. We couldnt communicate with speach but that was no problem at all. I also met many other surfers who were camping on different beaches. Some leaving their expensive and surfboards and belongings out unattended for hours at a time.
The Food and staff were incredible. Juan, Antonio, Flacco, Ramone, Diego, and the rest of the staff were extremely friendly and professional and I never once got tired of the menu after my 8 day stay. I do love baja cuisine though and they have the best. One night me and another couple from San Clemente whom I had met were having dinner and we asked Ramone to just cook us up special plates. Each one was different and everyone loved their order. We all agreed a meal in Califonia would have been at least 2 to 3 times the price and with ingredients not as fresh. Everyone working there went out of their way to make you feel comfortable.
The hotel itself is impressive, Mexico has some of the best masonry around. It is very modern and I loved the overhead showerheads and rooms. Your money goes way farther here than any hotel in Cabo in my opinion. Hot water and air conditioning and the hotel is a green hotel completely off the grid which is something I have a lot of respect for. It was nice to be able to watch netflix after a long day at the beach. I dont think it will be at these prices for much longer as the East Cape is growing faster than ever, white sand beaches, turquiose bath water, and less than 3 hours from LA. If you are heading to Cabo San Lucas, you would be doing yourself a disservice by not spending a night or 2 here (if the price is in your range) and at least and seeing the east cape. It is also worth driving from Cabo for just a meal, the are is really that beautitul.
And for those that complain about visible abandoned structures, Latin and South America and most of the world probably aren't the right places for you to visit.response / report this review -

We loved our stay at VidaSoul. The view is out of a movie, the people working are wonderful. We loved the dogs that wanted to go for a walk every day and kept watch on the beach. You have to get past a few glitches with the A/C, the fence, etc., but that is easy to do. Oh, and the restaurant was great.

The restaurant & bar here is a great place for a beverage or lunch if you are exploring the East Cape Road. Friendly staff - great decor - beautiful views of the Sea of Cortez!!

When you cannot handle being hassled to go to an information session or being offered to go on some life changing tour by all of the trolls on the beach in Cabo San Lucas, this is your respite.
It's off the grid. They get their electricity by solar panel. The internet is via satellite. The beach is private. So remote. You take many miles of dirt road to get here. The waves are great. Bring your surf boards. You will find the other weary gringo surfer bums here, as well as the tourist that likes to get off the beaten track.
But it really is a luxury experience. The food is fantastic. The rooms are very modern, all with views of the ocean. There are big sliding doors that will let in the sea breeze.response / report this review -

We arrived tired and left the next day invigorated and with regret at having to leave.
Attentive, superb service overseen by a concierge/manager who strives for outstanding guest experience. He even offered to have our party's drinks brought to us on the beach! Best strawberry margarita ever. We tried tipping one of the staff who brought an extra room key down to us; she graciously refused to take the money.
Food and drink ranged from excellent to outstanding, with service to match.
Visually stunning location. And the building? Our architect friend couldn't stop taking pictures. Spotless, gorgeous rooms. Make that spotless and gorgeous everything! Yes, the pics posted on this site are both are representative and real!
Overall, a memorable, really positive experience at a very distinctive, classy hotel.response / report this review
