I love the folks at the Thirsty Cougar and you will too. Super friendly and awesome staff, great service and delicious food. You should see the giant frozen margarita options, they can even make a virgin margarita for you. Live bands on Thursday, Friday, & Saturday nights.

We visited the Thirsty Cougar three times during our stay in Cozumel. The food was good and the drinks were great! They have huge blended drinks which are perfect for the hot days spent on Cozumel. The reason I was so impressed with this place was our service. We had Pamela serve us twice. She is a bundle full of fun and positive energy and her service is great! I manage a restaurant in Canada and if I had it my way, all of our servers would take after Pamela. Can't wait to return next time we are in Cozumel.

Solid Mexican food. Great location first of all, you can't miss it! Second the food is super cheap.
I ordered the steak tacos and my girlfriend ordered fish tacos. We also decided to try the loaded chicken nachos as an appetizer, just a warning, the portions here are large.
The steak tacos flavorful and juicy, the fish tacos soft and flaky, and the nachosfried chippy goodness topped with beans, sour cream, cheese, gauc, tomato salsa, and chicken.
Highly recommended for some quality and affordable Mexican food after shopping, snorkeling, or just laying on a beach.response / report this review -

After a diving trip our group stopped by Thirsty Cougar for some eats. You MUST try the blackened chicken nachos as they are incredibly delicious. Also, try some of the different salsas as too are awesome! Our waiter was on his game and very courteous, funny and prompt. All of us sampled each other dishes and my buddy's grouper fish plate was to die for. I look forward to food and laughs there again when we return to Cozumel.

While visiting in Cozumel, we wondered into this small beachside bar and grill for a quick drink. Turned into a couple of hours due to the hospitality of the staff. Prices were very good for a tourist area, Al (bartender) was extremely friendly. Hopefully he will be working when you visit. He was kind enough to recommend some local restaurants for us to visit. Thank you Al, we had a great time.

Chilaquiles were better than I can find in Oregon and the frozen fruitarita was delicious and huge! 4 stars because the bloody Mary was good but not great.

Best margaritas on the island, good food for reasonable prices for a place with a seaside view. Nice staff who work hard to meet your needs. They are also great for advice about places todancing, salsa, wine, whatever.

We had an awesome time at the Thirsty Cougar.
Our waiter was incredible!
We sat out on the patio in the afternoon sun and enjoyed some great tapas and drinks.

The food and service were very good. We stopped here because of the convenience of waiting for our plane outside of the hotel, we expected the drinks to be good, but not the food. Very pleasantly surprised by the lobster.
