Enjoyed Valentine's dinner here. First time we have been here. New favorite Italian restaurant on the island. Good portions, excellent food, reasonable prices

Had filet mignon it was fabulous, comes with white cream sauce, and mashed potatoes. Best steak I have ever had in mexico. A little busy on friday night, but worth the wait.

Boy did I eat well here! My dinner started off with some complimentary bruschetta, followed by a risotto and some really nice veal! I urge you to try the risotto! Staff are terrific, and to top it all off, it's very affordable too.

Wonderful dinner and great evening on the upstairs patio at New Especias. The owner/waiter was accommodating from the time he showed us where to park until the time we walked out the door. We loved the complimentary homemade peach wine! He made wonderful suggestions and even told us how he could make changes to please our palate. His suggestions were perfect and I was in the company of some picky diners.
The restaurant is a hidden gem and well worth the dining experience. It is closed on Wednesdays and opens at 6 the other days. I will go back before I leave the island.response / report this review -

Absolutely amazing! Never expected to find such great Italian food in Mexico. It beats anything back home as well. It had everything from great food, great price, great service, and great atmosphere

Authentic Italian food in Cozumel town, any plate we order was brilliant, you feel as if you were in any ristorante back in Italy, Peach wine was superb!

A very nice place with terrific staff and well rounded menu. The owner introduced himself and provided us with a welcome wine taste and bruchetta as we were seated. We made two visits here and we're pleased with both. I had the gnocchi and lasagna, my wife had a filet and fettuccine, all were excellent. Save room for the baked to order chocolate muffin, well worth the wait and decadent.

Went here for dinner and had the pizza. It was great! The crust was light and flakey, cheese was stringy and the toppings were plentiful. The atmosphere was also very nice and the staff were attentive and courteous. The price was also quite reasonable for mid class Italian.

$47 for 2 Fillets, 1 pasta dish, 2 drinks and 2 desserts. Plus it was all delicious! We will be back for SURE! So good.
