The perfect place to take visiting family for weekday lunch or weekend brunch. The service is detailed and the garden outback is beautiful.
They say the best Margarita in Mexico City! The courtyard is stunning. Definitely try and make a reservation ahead of time but if not margaritas and tacos in the bar are pretty awesome.
Excellent food and service. Beautiful, historic interior. An icon of the great Mexican restaurants tradition.
Service staff are nice but not experienced in fine dining. Food served consists of Mexican staples. Margharitas are very solid and recommended by this reviewer. Wine list is very weak; do not expect French bubbles. Premises has gorgeous seating but the nicest spots are held by image-conscious locals. Unlike the posh visage forwarded by attendees and tourists alike, this restaurant is an institution in Mexico City, and that may be why you should go.
Food was good, a little on the expensive side. Too busy, service was good but would be better if place wasn't so big. I enjoyed the floating island dessert. Plain American coffee was excellent. The house specialty the ribs were good, mashed potatoes ok. I don't know what it is about Mexico City, but every time they serve butter it's really margarine. You can't argue with them, they tell you it's butter.
Traditional environment with live music and lovely gardens. Food is pricey yet not great. Service is attentive. In sum, go for the ambiance and exclusivity, not the food.
Very nice restaurant. Delicious food. Eat at the terrace.
Never gets old, amazing food, atmosphere and music. All in one place. Perfect for a very special occasion
Upscale environment. Went for a breakfast with a friend. Wide range of options in the menu. Really liked the service and the ambient.
Always a marvelous experience. If available choose a table on the terrace for the best experience. It doesnt matter what you order, it will be fantastic. Perfect for a quality mexican meal. The prices are not exactly cheap but its accesible for a special event. They have a salad var where you can cater your plate. There are specials throught the year. Defenetely the best dish is the Chiles in Nogada from August to October, classics. There is special places for large parties or events. Great place to eat and then walk around.
gorgeous restaurant with marvelous atmosphere and food. The decor makes you feel like you are in an ancient manor with everything fine ornately including their tableware and setting. The service is delicate and professional. The wine menu carries diverse options and they make good drinks. The food is well performing and tasty.
San Angel Inn is the must do Restaurant in MX.
If you have only one night in Mexico you should come here.
great atmosphere, excellent service and very good food.
Overall the best Mexican Restaurant in MX City
brilliant atmosphere! almost everything we ate (and the wine and drinks) were truly exquisite. NB: best dishes are from the méxican side of the menu. highly recommended.
Make sure to make a reservation as it gets very busy. It is right next to Diego Rivera Museum. Feels like a country club. Wonderful place to have a breakfast. Great service. It was 500 pesos for breakfast for two.
Traditionally one of the top historic restaurants in the city. Great service has been diminishing between 2016-2017 but still a good, elegant and traditional place to go. Great for lunch and dinner. Our breakfast experiences are far away from what we have been expecting from this "institution".
Great Mexican restaurant, with a lot of options to eat and drink. A classic in Mexico City. Popular place for business lunches.
Beautiful old building, nice interior garden, good service, good cocktails, ..
Excellent place, everybody we're so kindly and respectful. Good food and great beverages. They have live music either inside or outside. They also have a "trio" available to play any song you want to listen.
The best of the best in the city. Food, decor, ambiance, service.
Been here for years and tradition remains!
