  Not a bad little museum, but in the end the highlight of the museum is the building itself. If you have limited time in Guanajuato you will be better off spending it elsewhere, especially if you will be visiting cities with bigger and more informative museums (Zacatecas/mexico city/Oaxaca)

  Very detailed account of México's colorful history. The museum is 2 floors with a courtyard in the middle. The history portion begins at the top and goes by different periods in different rooms until you reach modern times. The museum is well lit, with wonderful information and helpful guides. Really a treat to visit. Highly recommended.

  Well presented displays and the stairwell murals by Chavez Morado are worth the price of admission. Although exhibit signage is only in Spanish, the admission desk has a set of laminated pages that describe the various exhibit rooms in English. For the special exhibits you're on your own - we saw photography exhibits of various aspects of Cuban life post-revolution as well as one about Trotsky.

  A historical landmark of Guanajuato & the country, the place where the first battle of the Mexican war of Independence took place. Now turned into a fairly decent museum of Mexican history, unfortunately none of the information on the displays is translated into English, so if your Spanish isn't good enough, you might not enjoy it very much. But there's bilingual guided tours.

  Tour guide spoke english. However he skipped some roomd cause we were a small group. Its a must see to understand mexican culture.
