Amazingly beautiful. Food was good, not great, but worth it for the ambiance and views.

I use this hotel frequently for work and organize events here. It's very well run with a friendly and helpful staff. The food is also very good and view overlooking the town is wonderful. It's a first class place but doesn't have the spa or other bells and whistles of other newer hotels in town.

We had an amazing night at posada del Tepozteco. There's something magical about this place. I loved waking up to the sound of roosters in the distance.

Great service. Very accommodating. Staff that speaks partial English helped a lot. Complimentary breakfast. Great pool with nice views of town and mountains. Rooms was nice with balcony. No A/C or heat but the weather was great and neither were needed.

Care and compassion after being displaced
Our first choice of places to go for refuge in Tepoztlan, Mexico after the September 19 earthquake, when the home where we were staying was severely damaged, was Posado Del Tepozteco. We couldn't have been more treated as family, even though we are foreigners. We had been to this hotel over the summer for my wife's birthday, which was joyous and special, which is why we returned at this traumatic time.
From the moment we were greeted by the hostesses at the front desk, to the accommodations made by the manager, to the way we were treated by the waiters, housekeeping, security, and other staff, we couldn't have been embraced with more kindness and compassion.
It is rare to feel so comforted and taken care of, especially during such a stressful time. We plan to return regularly to show our appreciation and gratitude. Special thanks to Omar, Oscar, Alfonso, Wanita, Selene, Sofia, and the humble manager.response / report this review -

El hotel en general está muy bonito. Los jardines y áreas comunes preciosas. Las habitaciones muy cómodas y limpias. La comida insuperable. La alberca de muy buen tamaño y el agua templada. Todo el personal muy amable. Está un poco caro, pero vale la pena.

The place has a stunning view from the Tepozteco to the main street, the food at the restaurant as very well presentation, although even if it is good it is not always as good as it looks.

This review is for their restaurant, which we visited twice during our stay in Tepoztlan even though we didn't stay at this hotel, because it was just that awesome. The view from the restaurant is stunning, and the service extremely attentive. Then there's the food.
Amazing items that stand out from other places in the world:
*Duck with Blackberry sauce - to die for. Most amazing duck and sauce combo I have ever tasted, and I love duck so I taste it everywhere I go!
Great items that are well executed:
*Bread - the crispy french loafs were my favorite, but they were all fresh, hot and great. Everyday the bread changes.
*Creme Brulee L'orange - tasty!
*Chicken Mole - amazing sauce and chicken. The beans on the dish were even more amazing!
