Used to be #1 restaurant in Cuernavaca, mainly because of the setting with amazing gardens and its international and Mexican cuisine. But quality and service have diminished over the years and it is now surpassed by other places in town.

So excited to go to Las mananitas on so many positive recommendations. We had a reservation, and came a few minutes early. We were escorted to the beautiful garden. After sitting at a garden table we waited about 10 minutes for someone to take our drink order. 20 minutes later a waiter came back and re-took our order. 8 minutes later we recieved our drinks. We placed our dinner order and were still excited to eat some great food. The food arrived..avocado soup.good. escargot, was fine. Salad with foie gras was awful. The food was c grade at best. My son's hamburger was terrible. Filet mignon was lacking any seasoning, vegetables we steamed and not seasoned or tossed with butter or oil. Bearnaise was cold and congealed, demi glace was also cold and thick with starch. Seafood pasta..seafood was overcooked and very much underseasoned. I had much better food and service in the Mercado de abastos.
Sad.

Expect a high quality experience when eating and staying at Las Mañanitas. The service is outstanding, and the food is delicious. I would highly recommend trying out of the ordinary delicacies such as the escamoles (ant eggs) believe me they are extremely tasty!

A great place to eat or have a drink. Beautiful places to sit and enjoy the garden with Cranes and peacocks. A bit pricey $$$ but a beautiful place.

Wonderful hotel, with an amazing garden the rooms are gorgeous, the only thing is that the bar service is to slow and you have to ask several times for the things

Beautiful manicured grounds and a local iconic hotel and restaurant that in its day was world class in every regard (70s 80s and 90s). Yes I have been going since 1978. Today (2017) it's not the same. Food is good - even great in cases but no longer world class and over priced for its quality. The service is good and can be great at times but gone are the days of the slightest gesture illiciting an immediate "como puedo servirle" from the top notch wait staff.
Compared to a chain restaurant it's a 5 star plus experience but compared to its own past, a 3 is fair to generous.
Great for the "been there done that" experience but there are other options in town that are a better high-end value for ongoing/regular customers.

Beautiful restaurant in Cuernavaca! Have a drink first at the veranda and eat after at the restaurant. My favourite time is by night. Not cheap nur good food.

Best Mexican breakfast I've ever had! The huevos racheros were amazing and the coffe was very nice! Plus the place looks super nice, very colonial mexican hacienda, with some birds walking around and water fountains.

I visited just the garden for the Expo-Mujer event last Thursday. The building is old and well preserved, which gives it an atmosphere from past times. The garden is beautiful and very nice to look at, specially that tall northern wall totally covered by what I think is a species of ivy; cool stuff. They have peacocks there as part of the decoration I guess; I believe they treat them well ^^.

I visited the Las Mañanitas Restaurante and highly recommend! The environment is beautiful, with very pretty landscaping where you will see and even be greeted by a flamingo or a few, and/or some peacocks! Aside from the many different birds that reside on the property, the menu has many options and the food is very good. The staff are extremely helpful and courteous. Great for groups or a romantic setting!
