Me marcho ya de ciudad de México pero solo es el segundo viaje ,en mi tercero ,me encantaría alojarme en esta posada y conocer los pueblos ,la ciudad me resultó acogedora pero dura ,en un futuro trabajaré y residire en México un saludo de una española agradecida

Magnífico lugar, si quieres salir de lo cotidiano, vivir la magia de la tranquilidad, a demás de sentirte en casa. No lo dudes este es el lugar. Sus anfitriones te hacen sentir parte de la familia, y por su puesto este pequeño hotel tiene una cartelera cultural que en muy pocos lugares he visto. Excelente

Desde 2010 que he estado aquí regularmente. Es un espacio realmente apto para el descanso. Los dueños son personas muy amables y conocen bastante la región. El lugar además de tener habitaciones es un espacio cultural, donde se ofrecen conciertos, obras de teatro, exposiciones, talleres en un espacio hermoso.
No podría estar mejor ubicado. Dejas tu auto afuera, y puedes ir caminando a los puntos de interés de Pátzcuaro: la casa de los 11 patios a media cuadra, plaza de Don Vasco de Quiroga a 1 cuadra.

This place is jaw-droppingly gorgeous and pristine. Each room has high ceilings with weathered wooden beams overhanging an impossibly comfortable bed. My room was at the back of the hotel, adjacent to a pleasant garden with birds and avocado trees. The rooms and hotel are impeccably clean - the floors are mopped daily. The owners Vicki and Eric have excellent taste - I felt like I was living in a magazine spread.

Before coming to Michoacan I was worried about safety. Everything I'd read in the US about the region highlighted the drug violence that occurred in central Mexico several years ago. I stayed here, at Posada Yolihuani, for 2.5 months and visited many towns in the region (Patzcuaro, towns around Lake Patzcuaro, Morelia, Uruapan etc.) and AT NO POINT DID I FEEL UNSAFE. I frequently found myself walking alone through Patzcuaro in the dark and not once felt threatened. The small-town feel was pervasive.

The owners and staff at Posada Yolihuani are earnest and trustworthy and familial. I left my laptop, wallet, cash, passport, etc. in plain sight in my room for the entire period without an inkling of apprehension or worry. They even moved my wallet from the table to my dresser when outside workers were coming in to re-finish some of the beams.

The location is superb. It's a block from the thriving Plaza Grande, which is a short enough distance for a three minute walk, but far enough to muffle the noise and bustle of the main square.

I've traveled quite a bit in a wide range of accommodations and can confidently say that Posada Yolihuani is now the standard to which I will hold other hotels.
