Just go for a stroll, take pictures of the 100+ year old buildings, buy beautiful handmade souvenirs and clothes, stop for an amazing lunch our just for a drink while the different musicians serenate you. Just go and be pay of the town!

Beatiful tree-lined plaza with at least 4 indoor/outdoor restaurants. Great place to people watch. Towering trees are crisply hand cut by workers on huge ladders with machetes.

It was okay. Typical Plaza in a typical Mexican city., so not a lot to say about. I was a lot of great stories, restaurants and hotels right around it. I think that made it great . At night, it comes to life with vendors and street actors. The fountain was pretty.
For the most part, the fun was just being in the beautiful town and being surrounded by amazing architecture.response / report this review -

Very interesting place worth spending time and learn much more of the past actual history. Some things you see and read are not printed in any book. Really enjoy it and plan to visit the museum again next time I am in Queretaro.

Special place to eat, buy from the indigenous that come from amealco town. And there are small but talented jazz bands that play at night. There is also techno music with delicious food nearby.

Very crowded at night but good restaurants and a nice family atmosphere. Sometimes there's live music in the form of local bands playing popular covers on the square.

Its kindness, its local rythm the mixture of styles and the afluence of different times of Mexico's history in just single square makes this historical and emblematic place one of the most important and beautiful scenes of Mexican Province and hard is to mention this when around this neighborhood there are plenty of gardens and plazas with a marvelous and almost romantic accent. The Marques monument is a solemn reference of the south entrance of Bajio. I can recommend to walk from the top of hill from the Acueduct and the Corregidora's grave down to this Plaza it is simply amazing. The whole history of Mexico is in that space of territory. From the Empire to the Revolution, from the Conquer days to the Independence war. The Maximilian trial the Independence Conspiracy and the root of Queretaro's life all come together in that Plaza. Unforgettable.

An extraordinary place, right in the core of Queretaro city. Night life at this place is amazing. You can buy handcraft, eat some food, take a beer, up to walk your dog. RECOMMENDED!!!

The heart of the historic center, have a seat and watch everything happening here, you can find a statue of the arch's sponsor surrounded by fountain dogs. Common venue for protest or celebrations. Next to good restaurants, some coffee shops, luxury hotels and the historical State Government palace, feel free to explore every corner.

Downtown Querétaro. Good for seeing the colonial style on the buildings around with a wide variety of restaurants and shops just a couple steps on any direction.

Spent a lot of time in this plaza; from being lost to hanging out. The trees are awesome and there was a guy doing Michael Jackson dances one night.
The people around were all really laid back and cool; also a good place to have a nap. (Quite a few were, not homeless; just artists chilling)response / report this review
