A nice place to visit if you are a Diego Rivera fan. He lived here during part of his childhood. We had an excellent tour (in Spanish) and our guide was patient and answered our questions.

A much calmer experience than Frida Kahlo’s house/museum in Coyoacan, Mexico City. Diego lived here until he was 6 years old. His family rented the first floor. It’s interesting to see his humble surroundings but with a twist—his father’s library contained high-level literature. Warning: you are not allowed to take photos inside, even without flash, a policy Diego would probably have disapproved of. (February 2018)

This museum is very interesting since it was the house of Diego Rivera until the age of 6. In this museum you can appreciate pieces of art from Diego Rivera that are not very popular such as art in which he explored with cubism, portraits, landscapes, and prints. You can appreciate pieces of art that were from his formative years. There is also exhibitions from other artists.

Overall it was a beautiful display of art, however I was hoping for more history of the home and Diego. But definitely recommend it. The roof top is a beautiful place to relax and see all of Guanajuato.

I love this place!!! I have been twice now and each time is Amazing♥️♥️♥️ I took my Mom & brother they also enjoyed this place. Expect to b here for 1-3 hours

Diego Rivera's birthplace is now an excellent museum honoring the famous artist. Rivera was a prominent Mexican painter. His large frescoes helped establish the Mexican mural movement. Rivera painted murals among others in Mexico City, Chapingo, Cuernavaca, San Francisco, Detroit and New York City. Rivera had a marriage with Mexican artist Frida Kahlo.

Even if you're not a fan of Diego he makes this home very personal and there is one quote where he states that he discovered his true identity as a "guanajuatense" or a person who is from Guanajuato. The collection is outstanding and the home is large overall.

I wish there was some of his art, you can see some of his sketches. Very cute to walk around but not a highlight of our trip.

It's a must be place for art lovers. The building is huge, i think it has at least 5 stores, an elevator but still everything is still preserved. They have a lot of paintings you must see if you are there and are interested in art.

A surprisingly large space encompassing 3 themes ;. Diego's work, how the building was used in the early 1900s and guest exhibitions. Would have like to narrative in place, but no complaints with quality of it or admission price

I loved seeing Diego's early sketches/ concepts and how other artists influenced his work. The house is also a beautiful representation of Spanish Colonial architecture.
