We have been here several times and we are now check availability at Maya Chan before booking our cruise. On our most recent visit we were looking at three cruises during the week of April 8th. Each one visited Costa Maya on a different day. Two of the days were booked solid. The had room on the third, so we booked that cruise. This time the road was in great shape, so most of the bumps you may have heard about were gone. We had more sea grass this time than ever before, but it did not impact our visit. Food, drinks, service and communication continue to be outstanding. Can't wait to go back.

As much as I'd love to keep this amazing place to myself I can't do them the disservice of not giving them the absolutely stellar review they deserve - this was, without exaggerating, the nicest day I've had on vacation in my life. Staff is amazing and attentive without ever feeling hovering, beach is beautiful, and the floating chairs are a blast. They made a special vegetarian meal just for me and it was delish. They make sure to take care of everything so you don't have to worry about a single thing. Can't wait to come back!!

Staff is all very friendly and the place is lovely. The food and drinks are great (several people mentioned the drinks being weak though). They did a taco buffet while I was there that was delicious. Servers walk all around the property and keep you filled up, they will even walk drinks out into the water! Plenty of shade and beach chairs and even a tree house where you can charge your phone. They have a "love box" for you to tip everyone at once when you're finished so no need to worry about tipping as you go. Most people on my day tipped $10-20. The 2 dogs and cat are lovely. There's lots to do on the beach- kayak, paddle board, floating chairs etc. Be warned though, the ride in is extremely slow and bumpy but the kids seemed to love the van hitting pot holes lol. I will return.

If you are looking for an excursion in Costa Maya you have to book this !!! We were looking for somewhere special to go when our cruise ship ported in Costa Maya. I read very good reviews on this beach/resort and thought I would give it a try - am I ever glad I did. Once you book with them they send you a very detailed explanation of how the day will unfold. They meet you at the port and they arrange for a taxi to transport you to the resort. The roads to the resort are quite bumpy but it appears as if they will be doing some repairs in the very near future. From the second you step out of the taxi you are treated like royalty. They quickly escort you into their resort and give you a quick tour and explanation of how the day will unfold. They are over the top friendly. You are escorted to your own private cabana/area on the beach. You have options of shade and sun and lots of chairs, loungers, hammocks etc.. There are beach games and all sorts of water activities. They have floating chairs in the water if you wish. They have a couple of bars, but you never have to actually go to the bars as their service is impeccable and they come to you on a very regular basis to refresh your drinks. Their lunch was delicious and plentiful. They organize your taxi back to the port and give you the option of picking the time in which you would like to return. I would go back here in a heartbeat if given the opportunity. We were blown away by the awesome service and left that day with huge smiles on our faces.

The owners and staff take wonderful care of you. Your glass never goes empty and the food tasted great.
This is not Maya Chan's fault but getting out of the shopping area is very difficult. Follow the directions they send you and once out of the "village" go through the green gate and stay to the right. Ignore the taxi guys that will try and make you use them. Shortly after that on you right will be the person from Maya Chan in a logo shirt.
It's well worth the bother to get there. Go relax and enjoy.response / report this review -

It's a little out in the boondocks but like any paradise escape, this place makes up for it. The staff is wonderful. The food is fabulous. The drink are amazing and the scenery second to none.

I love this private beach. They treat you like royalty. The food is spectacular. Kayaking, floats,etc all included. Best time we enjoyed on our cruise.

Love love love this place! We're going back again next year. Great beach, great ocean view and yes it's a little bumpy on the road getting there but well worth it. Fantastic food! beach chair service for drinks and so relaxing!!! Family friendly and all inclusive.

Maya Chan is a magical place! Got married there August 10, 2017 and I can tell you honestly from beginning of the planning stages until the end of our day there, I felt truly cared for and well taken care of. The people who run the place and employees are wonderful. Food and drinks excellent. Grounds are gorgeous. Thank you for making the first day of the rest of our lives amazing! We can't wait to come back!

A beautiful place to relax and unwind away from the crowd. The food was delicious, the drinks were great, and the atmosphere was amazing. The owners and employees are super friendly and aim to please. A word of advice: book early!

This was amazing! The service was incredible and the food amazing!!! David and Julie were personable and very accommodating. There was plenty of shade and drinks!!! Even with sea grass , we swam and had an amazing time!

From our arrival, things could not have gone more smoothly! This was a fabulous destination and a wonderful day. The food was amazing, the drinks never stopped coming, there were activities for everyone, and the massage on the beach was top notch. We were notified upon arrival that there was seaweed on the beach--and they had men pulling it out all day long to clear the path to the water! They accommodated a vegetarian with a delicious alternative, and made the kids feel welcome, and yes--they really did bring drinks out into the water! If given the opportunity, we will absolutely return to Maya Chan. Thank you, David and staff, for a wonderful day!

Love this place.. private peaceful.. service is great! .. felt like VIP the whole time.. if u need a place to relax and avoid the rush to a beach.. this is it!!! Everyone is friendly and so willing to make it the best experience!!!

Enjoyed this beach breach very much!!. We came as a very large group. The staff took great care of us. The food was delicious. It was very relaxing and for those who couldn't sit still there is plenty of activities to do. Would recommend and would do again!

The highlight of our seven day cruise. My favorite excursion of the three we booked. If you're deciding on whether to book a day here.. look no further! They provided the absolute best customer service on such a beautiful beach. Perfect place to relax, and I was never without a drink in my hand! Would recommend this place to anyone!
