I found it! About 15 years ago, I stumbled upon this quaint little back yard restaurant where I ate the best French toast ever. Since then, I’ve tried finding this place on 2 return visits and assumed it must be gone. I’ve tried making it. I’ve yet to recreate that French toast experience until today. Mamas is it. I’m back and the mixed berry French toast was the magic I remembered.

Glad to have found this gem. The food is everything you could want. Its for adventurous eaters and picky eaters. Its for tourists and locals. The menu has every variety. Top quality. Excellent service!

Worth the Walk!! Fun open air bkfst w live slow music and great prices. Food was terrific w a six part plate of jelly n salsa. HuevosRancheros was very good. Free tap water w ice if you ask-smiling and polite staff give you a relaxed feel. We will go back 4 shore!!

Mama's has been a stalwart of Cabo San Lucas for many years. The restaurant has been passed down through the family. Same quality of preparation and a focus on really good service. There is nothing better than the stuffed french toast

Good food, live music, and good service. Had the mixed berry blintzes (special) and the mango mimosa. The fruit on the blintzes was super soggy, but the flavors were great! Mimosa was amazing. Had to stop myself from drinking too many.

I asked for potatoes well done and they ignored my request. They only had white bread. I asked for butter on the side and this request was ignored as well.

Good brunch cafe if you or your group wants a mix of both Mexican and American cuisine. The fruit juices are delicious and a must here. The servers are all friendly, the food is tasty and reasonable, and the ambience has a fun garden patio feel to it.
If you want to get away from the more touristy spots along the harbor, this is a great option.response / report this review -

Best breakfast i have had in a long time. They truly have the worlds best french toast. Everything is fresh and almost everything is made in house. I recommend it to everyone.

Close to everything, secure, nearly the same elevation as the downtown so good for walking. The San Angel is well-operated and our ten day stay passed without incident. Suggest staying on the W. side as the E. has a refrigeration unit 24-hour fan from business across the street - white noise. Not horrible, but certainly not quiet. It might have helped mitigate traffic noise in the distance.
No oven, no flatwear/utensils for eating but spatulas, pans, glasses and plates for two were in cupboards. Restaurants in town seem to be consistently good. A convenience store and fabulously expensive organic market is on the next block. There is a room safe, but no guidance on changing the combination for added security.
We enjoyed our stay and were well-supported by Cali at the front desk and Esthela who issued us fresh towels and paper goods. The room was very agreeable - comfortable beds, good enough speed on Internet and we found everything quite clean. We recommend Mama's Royal Cafe, any marina restaurant's catch-of-the day (bass).response / report this review -

Love everything about this place. Beautiful setting, fantastic food and friendly staff. I think this is the best breakfast in Cabo.
