Excellent service huge seafood portions, reasonably priced.

Dinner for 2 with appetizer and bottle of wine after tax/tip ran about $65 per person. We couldn't even eat it all. Crab cakes, lobster & shrimp, calamari & oysters. Delicious and filling and the service was excellent.

For me, the food wasn't too good (don't order lobster tacos), but the atmosphere is the best atmosphere of any restaurant I've ever been to. If you get an outside table, you can look down and maybe see an alligator. The giant lobster statue is a great view from your table, too. If I hadn't ordered the lobster tacos, I think the food would've been much better, as the other lobster dishes looked EXTREMELY fresh.

Unbelievable. On every account. Service fantastic. Wonderful setting on the lagoon. Meal is the best I've ever had on my many visits to Cancun. I've been to Lorenzillo's 3x, and the second made me fall in love. The ceasar is the best way to start a fantastic meal here. Will definitely be returning.

My best friend and I have been meeting in Cancun for a low key girls weekend for the last nine years (yes- nine years!). Over the years, we have tried just about good/nice restaurant in the Hotel zone. And Lorenzillo’s is one of our favorites. We somehow didn’t discover it until recently (not sure why it took us so long!)— but we love it. The lobster is amazing (get it broiled!) and the service is amazing. And I highly recommend a lemon drop martini for ‘dessert’ ! The bar outside is a great place for a post-dinner drink as well. All and all— great experience. Highly recommended.. and after nine years of trying all the restaurants in the area.. that should say something!

We did not know what to expect so we got an appetizer, soup, and entree and that was too much. A tad pricey but the service was outstanding (we had a lead waiter and two runners) and the food (filet and lobster) was fantastic. The puff pastry with shrimp appetizer was oh so yummy. The jumbo shrimp were definitely jumbo (nothing like we see in the mid-west). Shrimp cocktail was fantastic too with great cocktail sauce. Would definitely recommend and will definitely be back next year but will have appetizer and dessert since we didn't get to sample that. Until next year. . . .

Try the broiled lobster, it's fantastic. We went there twice on our trip, great food and service both times. Thank you for the special attention from Israel Torres.

Superb food, excellent service and pleasant ambiance. We hade the stuffed crab, stuffed steak, broiled lobster, key lime pie and their signature dessert—everything was cooked to perfection! Victor really took care of us, with good recommendations and helpful service!

We had a great time dining here during vacation in Cancun! The food was delicious, extensive wine list & the service was very attentive. The live lobsters were so much fun to look at! You can select which one you want cooked! Also, we saw a crocodile in the lake! How cool is that? Will definitely come back again.

The most amazing service, the best and largest Lobster we have ever had! You might wanna split a meal and get the lobster crab cakes as an app.
Definitely worth leaving your resort and buying a nice dinner!!! You will not be disappointed! I suggest sitting outside and watching the crocodiles swim.

For a family of four, we were well off ordering the fresh Ceasar salad (made in front of you) which was big enough to serve two people and the pirates platter was delicious and included a taste of their staple lobster, soft shell crab, shrimp, fish, and oysters. I highly recommend this restaurant for those visiting Cancun! And there are crocs too!

Outstanding food and serviceif you're coming in for a quick meal, this is not your place. This place is meant to be enjoyed with your loved ones while you savor every morsel of fresh seafood it has to offer. Kids menu is decent too.

I think my favorite part of our trip to Cancun was eating at Lorenzillo's. The seafood here is amazing. I've never tasted better. Their shrimp cocktail is to die for. We ate outside on their deck that is right on the water. And we did not dine alone. There was a crocodile that swam right up next to us and was just chillin'. It was huge! But he was a great dinner guest. The waiter said that he comes most nights looking for scraps. We loved this place.

I've eaten a lot of seafood. I mean a lot. Had the fresh catch, which happened to be grouper, and it was excellent! The best piece of fish in recent memory. Cooked perfectly and served piping hot. And it was a huge portion. Wife had the stuffed chicken breast which came with pasta. It was huge as well! Awesome building, too, which made dinner that much more memorable. Pricey for Mexico, but worth it in my opinion.

Not for us, the restaurant is beautiful! The down side is the end product that is served is sad. My wife and I ordered the seafood plater for two. In less than 10 minutes it was brought to the table. They have the ability to prepare lobster tail, oyster's, fried fish and something else and it's fresh? No it was rubber, precooked and placed in a microwave to reheat it. In the end, $117 bill and a 10% tip. Never again to eat.

Amazing Seafood and the prices were not outrageous for the quality food you get. I would definitely recommend this restaurant if your in cancun and want some fresh seafood. I will definitely be back!

Lovely decor. Great location and ambiance. Greeted promptly and very friendly.

    On to the bad stuff:
Food- Tasteless and overpriced. They mixed up the order and didn't bring the appetizers. Didn't bring a Pina Colada. No apology or discount admitting the issue.

On the bright side the bread was fantastic.

As other reviewers have noted I would avoid this place and go to other better restaurants in the area.

good service. but do not sit outside, stinking of swamp. The food wasn't tasty. But this is not the main thing, the main thing I was poisoned in the restaurant. So, be careful there. Make sure everything is well cooked.

Inattentive service at Lorenzillo's and unremarkable food - and this included the server's highly recommended live lobster. Had a medium sized bag with a rain jacket with me, instead of offering a bag stand like all the other tables, it was moved from where I left it - on top of the table, to my seat - a gesture that I took to mean I should just sit on it and be uncomfortable for the duration of the meal.

We were at it's sister restaurant next door (Limoncello) a few days earlier, and the service + food was way better. We were recommended to come here by our hotel concierge after great recommendations to Fred's Seafood Restaurant, Tempo, and Harry's. All were amazing, so this was a real let down. My advice: skip this restaurant until they shape up their service and food. There are way too many good restaurants in town to waste your time with this one.
