Amazing location and super chill environment. After snorkeling we stopped here for lunch and drinks, but ended up staying a few hours. After lunch we hit the beautiful beach and relaxed in the free hammock's they have. Not crowded like beach clubs in Playa or Cancun. Try the tamarindo margarita, yummy!

This restraunt has delicious drinks and food, the atmosphere and service is also superb. Its a beach front location priced quite cheap. This was my wife and I top pick this vacation

Awesome. Great food. On a hot day you have to try their ceviche with an ice cold beer. The food is very good and the location is stellar.

This place is literally on the beach and often breezy. Super solid for meals any time of day. Breakfast might have been our favorite with several regional dishes to choose from. Giant non-alcoholic juices and cocktails. Try the tamarind margarita.

Good service. The food was so-so. Food alone would have been a 3-star. Nice location and atmosphere. There is a pool and you can order drinks by the pool. Tree houses too, if you want to climb the ladder and have your drink there.

Best mexican meal I’ve ever eaten. Not only is the atmosphere perfect, but the food is unbelievably good. Get the nachos, ceviche, and Cheyenne tacos. Have a drink and put your feet in the sand. They also have hammocks, beach chairs, and swings. They have the coolest bar with chair swings and little ancient looking nick nacks everywhere. I would have my last meal ever here

Located in the not so crowded part of Akumal (at least in low season). This restaurant/bar has great atmosphere. The food is good but somewhat expensive as expected from a beach bar. Here you are paying for the great view direct on the beach and the use the installations, including a very nice pool and hammocks.
The staff was friendly and attentive.

Every time we come to Akamul we know we have to stop at La Buena Vida. This is an amazing restaurant and bar right on the ocean in half moon bay. You can get to the restaurant, sit down, and kick off your shoes for the day.

The ocean views are great and there is some great snorkeling within walking distance to your table.

The food and drinks are great and the staff is always very friendly. Remember to bring cash to tip the waiters when you visit for a day and be sure to check out the tree houses.

An excellent beach bar and restaurant on the water. Swings and hammocks to lounge in, a tree house where you can eat, and the food actually is quite good! Fits nicely the fantasy of what margaritaville should be like. Recommended.

Great low key bar and grill right on the waterfront of Half Moon Bay. Food is good and so are the drinks. Can either sit on the swings at the bar or eat at a table with your toes in the sand. Highly recommend the Botanero dish.

We went for happy hour. We told the server we were there for happy hour so he gave us the happy hour menu. Draft beer is $25 pesos. We each ordered a draft beer but he came back with bottled beers. When we asked about the drafts he said he didn't have them. Turns out, bottled beers are $30 pesos. I thought he should have told us prior to bringing the open bottles.

He was kind enough to come back before happy hour was over to see if we wanted another round.

The ambiance was great! Beachside seating as well as indoor seating.

Staff is friendly, food is fine. Can't beat the location!! Fun place to just plan to spend a couple of hours. Have a cocktail, sit on the beach, relax and have a great dinner. I'd give 5 stars if the food were stellar, but still go there and enjoy!

This is without a doubt one of the best restaurants on the entire Mayan Riviera. We come to this area every year for 5 to 6 months and we eat here often. Great location great staff great atmosphere and great food. What more could you ask for?

Great local bar and restaurant right by the beach. The funky decor and bar swings give it an edge that's hard to find. Great selection of food and drinks and extremely reasonably priced. The downstairs seating area can quite cool if there is a wind blowing in but the upstairs area is closed in which provides a nice escape.

Definitely one of the more exciting restaurants in the area, no vacation is complete without visiting here. You just wouldn't see a restaurant like this in America (or Europe probably). Food is good, sea breeze is lovely, sitting on swings at the bar or climbing their tree house is unique, you can relax on the beach on their beach chairs and hammocks, and they even have a little pool! Food is good too, though I really question the wisdom of all the green lights everywhere. If you come in the evening your food will be drenched in this green filtered light that makes your food look really unappetizing. It is good food though.
