It is a lovely place to stay in Palenque. The cabins are big enough and simple. Free toiletries and a small bottle of drinking water. Comfortable beds. Lots of windows perfectly protected by anti mosquito screens.
Ok WiFi signal in the cabins and better in the common area.
There are 2 toilets and 4 showers to share per gender.
Wild animals can be heard from the rooms which is exciting.
Palenque site is 30 minutes away walking from the hotel.
There is a restaurant in the facilities that is good for breakfast. Crossing the street are more options.
Friendly service. There is a swimming in the middle of the dorms / cabins area.
I would just add that the seeds / fruits falling from the threes on the cabin's roof could be really loud.
    Recommended.

For 550 pesos per night you can get a lot in Mexico but here you get this:
A tiny smelly cabana full of holes. Thanks to the fan (no airconditioning) the mosquitos stayed away, but that did t stop the ants from visiting me at night. Checking in took forever. There is no free purified water and no shop anywhere near, so you're almost forced to buy their overpriced water (twice the price of a supermarket). Also the in house restaurant (dont bother going there is a much better one accross the street) has 0 vegetarian meals, only soups that were milk + canned vegetables.
The only good think about this place is strong wifi (in cabana 4) and being close to the ruins but that doesn't really help unless you walk or cycle there. Water was also hot. For 250 pesos this would have been 4 stars.

Perhaps tv's in rooms. Improve restaurant menu. Great location. Nice pool.

Place is clean and nice for the price. But beware, pool and quite rules are not enforced so prepare to stay awake when groups of locals party without caring about rules and other guests peace.

Colchones muy incómodos, lugar bonito pero baño al aire libre, es más barato el panchan que está enfrente

The shower was very dirty when we arrived (full of small insects) but the rooms are good for the price and the pool was also enjoyable. It is very close to the ruins but you still have to take a 'colectivo' to get there. Sadly the staff was not so reliable, we asked them if they could call a taxi for us but they forgot it and even complained and tried to prevent us from taking a random taxi that had passed.

The hostel is indeed in the jungle and it is amazing to hear all the critters at night. And the howler monkeys howl. The private room is equipped with a small bed. The pool is great but it's so hot here that the water is actually warm all day long, none the less, it's refreshing and makes it worth the stay. No WiFi at the hostel except the reception area, which is a complete fail.

It's ok for price around $120 pesos per night, BUT could better for the bathroom and the little bridge for the cars is very dangerous to cross by.

Really nice and calm oasis in the middle of the forest. Perfect to explore the ruins of Palenque. No translation service and no kitchen/breakfast or even restaurant..
