Jules Basement has amazing cocktails on their menu and even more amazing cocktails off their menu! We ordered drinks in two ways: the first was by ordering drinks off their set cocktail list, and they were all fantastic. The second way we ordered cocktails was by ordering the “bartender’s choice” which cost essentially the same as their classic cocktails. When you order the bartenders choice you can customize your cocktail by letting your bartender know what type of flavors and liquors you like - and then they surprise you with an amazing custom creation! We told our bartender we wanted a bitter mezcal drink with smoked salt and he gave us an amazing cocktail that was exactly that!

Hidden scene-y lounge through a cheap looking diner on the street. Cool vibe and trendy crowd.

Had a great time after dinner. Perfect for drinks and a nice chill but lively vibe in Polanco!

Great experience of a jazz club from the prohibition period. Entry through a fridge door in a restaurant and no signs for the club outside. Great cocktails too. Must book in advance, best to arrive between 9-9:30. Live music on Tuesdays and Wednesdays until midnight. Recommended by the locals, definitely a non-tourist place.

Cool place, good vibe and electronic music (Friday). Too dark for their own good. Clients have to use a cellphone flashlight to read the menu and that looks stupid and actually ruins the feel of the bar.

Amazing speakeasy bar behind a fridge door! Great cocktails and if you get lucky, there may be a live band down there! Reservations encouraged as the place is pretty small!

High quality ingredients for every cocktail. Reservations are a must. They take walk ins if you can find the speakeasy.

Forget about Limantour, the best cocktails are served in Jules. Romi is a master Bartender, its a good hideout and good music

Long cocktail list but nothing outstanding the music was too loud for a place so small, and the attention from the staff was very poor

meh they try to create a lot of fanfare and mystery by making you wait at secret door to get in. we waited 15 min only to enter and see 2 other couples at the bar. so many other great spots. drinks were ok though but ambiance and visual asthetics were blah

Interesting hidden bar. Great cocktails, dark space and mostly "stand and look pretty"/SLP crowd. Not a place to meet people. Most people came with their own friends and didn't interact outside of their groups. We were two and didn't have a reservation but got in as it was early.

Great underground bar. It's underneath a Mexican restaurant, so you will need to go through it towards the back. Look for a guy guarding a freezer door. Reservations suggested.
On Tuesday there was live jazz playing. Great atmosphere to have a drink with friends and listen to music.

This place is an absolute must. The oscar Wilde drink is no longer offered -- but if you ask for it, they should recommend a whiskey drink which is similar. All drinks we tried were great. Jazz music is on point too, started around 10pm. We made reservations just a few hours before. The entrance is through a taco joint.
