The Guadalupe Temple is a church that sits atop of a hill after climbing up 80 stairs. It was a bit of a climb, but there were benches were positioned along the steps if you needed to take a break. After making it to the top, I found amazing views of the city buildings and streets! There was also a peaceful and pretty park at the bottom of the steps. I enjoyed visiting this church.
If you are a solo female, don’t go here after dark as I read reports of women being harassed there.response / report this review -

You must go to the top of the hill to fully appreciate the city. The views are brethtaking. The church is beautifull, very simple. The virgin is a central part of the mexican catholic experience. Please go w/ an open mind and respect the faith of the locals it contextualizes your experience.

Me gusta mucho la iglesia porque se ubica desde una cumbre muy alta y desde arriba se observa todo el panorama de la hermosa ciudad de san cristobal y la iglesia es muy bonito adentro todo el diseño,la fachada,la cupula y lleno de mucha historia, por eso es un sitio que hay conocer y descubrir todas maravillas de san cristobal.

Es una iglesia concurrida, al haber subido, tendrás una vista panorámica muy buena donde podrás tomar excelentes fotos y ver gran parte de la ciudad, es un buen mirador y lo recomiendo, vale la pena subir.

from the top of the hill a view of san cristobal to be experienced. this is the most sought after church for those who like to walk and walk and walk, a steep ascent to the church then the amazing view and of course the shire for Guadalupe which is a must see. if you are in san cristobal in Dec, the 12th, this is the place to be.
