Really enjoyed and would come again.
Arrival from US to Mexico: the immigration lady made me exit the line and get in line all over again when I was missing the destination address on my form. It irritated me a little because I was closer to the front of the line and ended up dead last.
Departure: I flew United, checked myself in online and printed my own boarding pass the day before at home and STILL had to check in with the attendants when all I had was a carry on bag. What's the point of checking in online and printing my own tickets if I still have to stand in line? That's stupid. 🙄
Easy in and easy out. Can't ask for any more. Take a cab to town. Clean. Fast.
I would give this zero hours but the airport is very complicated came here a year ago, and I came for a nice holiday summer but instead it was the opposite! Very disrespectful employees, worst airlines! Do not go here, you are wasting your time with employees that barely speak English and have no manners! people like them don't last long in business!
Because is so blurry can't see anything
Strange Place, first I had 3 carry ons, but two of them basically fit together to make one (still misshapen) but I do that kind of thing all the time and it works everytime. The attendants seemed to be very strict and wouldn't let me take the third item with me on the plane-ok so their strict, so is Narita in Tokyo. But you wouldn't expect that in México, well in any case I had to pay 25 bucks to take my third item with me- ok fine. After that, I wanted to buy a bottle of mezcal before customs so asked the attendants to hold my checked bag at thw checkin counter while I shopped, then the cashiers went to great length to explain to me (I don't understand spanise well) that if I wanted to buy a bottle of mezcal I had to do it before security because the big bottles weren't on the other side/or I wouldn't be able to take it on the plane. So I bought a bottle, and went back and the attendants had already sent my bag to the plane! Okay maybe I was taking too long but they could clearly see me shopping and could have came and told me to hurry up. So I went back to the store and asked if I could change my purchase or get a return and at first they said no, then after showing them I could do it in cash one went off somewhere and came back and told me yes. So i changed the bottle for something else. But then she refused to give me any change (it was only 9 pesos more). She was automatically inflexible about it. I go through security, and on the other side they have the big bottles and the cashier says I can take it on the plane! Una Mierda!
Overall the place feels kinda weird, and the people are quite more uptight than you might expect, at least for American Airlines dont expect to get away with much.
Granted, I could have navigated this better, i was carry a lot of baggage-big baggage, and they were ready to let me take two big bags on. At the same time, something feels a touch off here. Its just something you have to feel.
Also there is absolutely 0 information anywhere about how to get here. So here's my scoop: you can take a taxi from the city and its going to cost you 300-600 pesos. I paid 300 from Cathedral. If you get a prepaid taxi at TAM- the central bus station, it's only 200 pesos. Leaving from the airport, I have heard that it costs more like 400 pesos to get into the city.
I have no idea if there is any bus or combi service to get to the airport. It would be a great business venture for someone.
The airport, visually, reminds me of the Varnasi Airport in India.
This airport is amazing, the people treats you pretty good all the time, I just loved Morelia.
LO AMO OMG
