The worst!!! After being on time 15 minuets prior to pick up, 2 different buses came to the hotel i was staying in. The tour guides that were supposed to check in everyone booked for the adventure park were absolute jerks. I went up to both guides because our names were never called and both guides turned us back saying it’s not the adventure park XPlor. After they left they said that my wife and I were no shows and 2 other couples in the same situation. I called customer service and they gave no care in the situation. Be careful they will try to scam you out of your time.

Great tour! Important advice for those with motion sickness: the bus ride is SUPER rocky, as the roads are all dirt roads with lots of bumps, bring Gravol!!! Everything was spectacular otherwise, we visited four different cenotes and each one was more beautiful than the last. Each Cenote had a different activity: slide, zipline, rappelling, river swim and kayaking! I survived without water shoes, but I did have to clip my flip flops to my life vest to make sure they didn't fly away!

We went on the tour with the most amazing tour guide Noé. Just going to say that he was absolutely incredible during the tour and really made it our best day on our trip in Mexico. We loved the kayaking and the zip-lining. It was so much fun and I definitely, 100% recommend.

It was amazing. The guided and the staff are very professional. They will explain you all the history of the cenotes, plants and animal that you will find on the way.
They don't leave you alone and so you can really safetly join the fun of the cenote. You will do kayak, swim, jumps, teleferica, snorkel.
The food and drinks were on availability two times and it made me very sutisfied.
Pedro, our guide was the top!
Finally I will reccomed it to everyone that like water, nature and adventure.
Very funny in the magic nature of Cenote. Unforgettable!

I loved the tour, but the service on the photos has been terrible. First they sent me an email with a broken link to the photos. I let them know it was broken, and a few days later they sent me a different link - that worked, but was of a couple I had never seen before. I have emailed several times since and have gotten no response. The day was great, but do not pay the $70 for photos (which is a very steep price to begin with!)

Update:
It took a week, but I finally got the photos. And they are PHENOMENAL! $70 is still too much (Would have been much happier with $40), but split between 3 people it was doable.

I would definitely recommend this excursion to anyone headed to Maya Riviera. Also, buy directly from Xenotes - they gave me a better price than Trip Advisor ($107/person)

Nice bus with comfortable seats. Jesus is a very knowledgeable guide. He talked all the time. I would highly recommend Xcaret Experiencias for your trip. It's a perfect experience in chicken itza. Tomorrow we will go to another park with Xcaret Experiencias.

We have been to the Playa del Carmen area three times and have seen many cenotes {my favs are the ones by Coba and Azul,on main highway 307}.Also been to a number of ruins{Ek Balam is gorgeous and underrated}.We never take tours,its cheaper and more convienant to rent a small car for four of us.We make our own schedule{we were at Chitza Itza when it opened and got pics in front of the large monument of just our selves!}You can stop and go as you like.There are many CHEAP places to eat along the way. You can also skip the over priced gift shops.

We just finished the cenotes tour with Eric, and we all had a fantastic time. I enjoyed the different cenotes and activities at each area. The food was good, and there were plenty of drinks to stay hydrated.

The reservation and pre-tour communication could use some improvement. This is the best excursion in Cancun.

We did the Tulum and Coba tour. We had the best driver, Noe and guide Mario. Both was fluent in English and knew the area well. The van had air conditioning and was very comfortable.

Miguel and Gina(?) were both fantastic. We really enjoyed the tour of five cenotes. That said, we had read reviews and knew what to expect. Driving: expect a lot of it. We spent far more time on the bus than we did in the exploring cenotes. Breakfast: expect dry pastries and apples. Lunch: expect sub sandwich fixings, soup, salad, and some sides. The tour is comparable in price to every other excursion or about $100. The rappel is really an angled zipline. The kayaking is boring. The snorkeling gear was a face mask only and we only saw minnows. The quadruple zipline and cliff jump at the open cenote was a highlight. They provide biodegradable sunscreen at each cenote. I wouldn't purchase this excursion again, but I think we are overall pleased we checked it out.

Stayed At Secrets Majeres Golf & Spa resort representative Jose Guillermo roedel set us up to go to Xplor But no transportation was available so we used our own vehicle we rented from hertz to go to this place which is 1 hour 20 mins away anyways he charged us extra $60 For The Transportation We Did Not Use & had to wait at entrance about one hour & half because they said Transportation didn't bring us and since we drove ourself and paid for transportation they wouldn't let us in but eventually just let us in and said get a refund where we booked it & I went back today 7-10-17 to request a refund & he says it's because he couldn't get it booked without a transport because it would have took to long to make reservation which makes no sense but no he makes a call and they say we have to wait about 40 days to investigate what is there to investigate when you know no one picked us and that Valet brought us the car,do not book from these guys the claim to work for expedia and got wire and it's fraud

My husband and I were looking for an excursion that was both adventurous and had natural beauty. Xenotes was exactly what we were looking for. Our bus was comfortable, all of the xenotes were beautiful (seemed man-made though) we swam, zip-lined, kayaked, cliff jumped, snorkeled(couldn't see much of anything snorkeling) repelled, and had a water slide. It was a little fast paced for my liking but it worked. Free beers, drinks, and lunch. We would definitely go again. This was the higlight of our Cancun trip. Our guide was great and the photographer took lots of pictures for a pretty good value. (Charged the 2 of us $58 for all of the pictures)

Ok. I am reviewing the Xenotes tour SPECIFICALLY. Not any of the other Xcaret offerings. I will elaborate on this later, but just want to get my review of 5 stars in. Big props to our guide, but I forgot his name!!! Started with an I and he and the photographer had the same name. anyway- they were excellent. Again- I'll elaborate later. And email me if you have any Q's. It's a hotmail email address. And the beginning is daakrolb at said address.

I enjoyed the Clasico Tour very much. There was plenty of time to do each activity except they should really scrap the visit to the local town as it is literally just a shop.. it was a waste of time.

The only reason I am giving 2 stars is because after doing 3 separate tours with Xcaret Experiences, I found it unprofessional that at the end of every single trip the tours ask for tips.

If I want to tip someone it's because I personally want to tip them not because I'm being told to or reminded to do so.. in addition to that, the tours themselves are extremely costly. Pay your staff a little extra to avoid them asking for tips.

For the record all my tours and guides were great and I would've tipped them 100% if they hadn't asked for tips. I found that rude.

(Suggestions: just have a tips box at the bus door and let people tip freely. Don't mention it. Everyone in Mexico wants more money you always feel like you're being hassled, you could be the difference)

I'd like to preface this review by saying that Chichen Itza was absolutely incredible and I'm SO glad we made it there to experience it.

Unfortunately the tour was horrible. It began with their tour rep telling us that we'd spend 2 1/2 hours on the bus to get to Chichen Itza. We were picked up from the resort at 7:15am and arrived to CI just after 12:00pm. There was a stop at a "Mayan Village," which was basically just a large gift shop that was absolute waste of time and a bastardization of the Mayan culture, in my opinion. The tour guide told us to buy any souvenirs we wanted here because the authentic Mayan vendors at CI would try to cheat us (I'm sure this gift shop had some sort of agreement with the tour company) I didn't find that to be true. I bought a few items from vendors at CI - just bring cash and they are all willing to negotiate with you! Due to all of the time on the bus we had less than 3 hours to spend at CI, which wasn't really enough time, so that was quite disappointing.

We were also told that lunch was included in the tour - which it was - but we did not get to eat until 4:30pm, more than 9 hours after being picked up from the resort. This should have been disclosed in advance so we could've planned for that and brought snacks.

Finally, we visited the Ik Kil cenote. It was beautiful, but again, we didn't have enough time there. My husband and I made it down about halfway to take a few pictures and check it out but didn't have time to get changed and swim before we had to get back to the bus, which was unfortunate.

Chichen Itza was amazing and Ik Kil was cool too, but this tour was overall very aggravating.Total time was about 14 hours.

WOULD RATE NEGATIVE 100000 STARS IF I COULD! Haven't gone yet, but I called customer service in order to straighten some things out with our reservations. Representative was rude, condescending, and basically said he couldn't do anything in response to any request I made. So I hung up, called again, and astonishingly, the new lady that I talked to was equally rude.

They offer packages on their photo passes if you're going to more than one park (which they don't advertise, by the way only found it after some digging). We already bought separate tickets to TWO parks so I was calling to ask them to combine the tickets under the same package so that we can get the discount.

THEIR ANSWER: "No." Just "no."

I HAD TO BEG THEM TO ELABORATE. They said "It has to be done on initial purchase." I told them that their website doesn't show the option for two parks.

THEIR ANSWER: "Hundreds of people call everyday. We don't have time to teach you how to buy a ticket."

I almost lost it, yet I sucked it up and still tried to be polite. So I asked a very simple question: How do customers get the 2-park package deal if you don't offer the option to purchase for two parks online and can't combine separate park purchases?

THEIR ANSWER: "We're customer service. We're not tech support."

SO- I asked for the phone number for tech support as a last resort even though I knew that tech support wasn't what I needed. I was just desperate to talk to someone else. Are you ready for this?

THEIR ANSWER: "We don't offer tech support."

So lastly, I asked if we cancel our tickets so that I can restart the whole process over and hopefully figure out how to purchase the package deal (my plan was to call instead for trying to do it online), and of course

THEIR ANSWER: "No. No cancellation."

IF YOU HAVE ANY OTHER OPTION, DO NOT PURCHASE TOURS, PHOTO PACKAGES, OR ANYTHING THROUGH EXPERIENCIAS XCARET.

We booked an all-day visit to Chichen Itza and the Ik Kil Cenote. We were picked up from our Cancun hotel promptly at 7:30am and taken to the central bus station to wait for our transfer. Total wait time was 1 hour (!). Transfers were very well-organized.

The bus was very comfortable: clean, comfy seats and air conditioning.

On the way to our first stop, in the middle of nowhere, they had everyone sign a liability waiver, wherein you sign that you're not pregnant, don't have diabetes, hypertension or a heart condition, among other things. Lots of people have all manner of medical conditions, and never once before departing did anyone mention that we couldn't participate if we had any of the various conditions. While I understand the need for liability waivers, this is no way to treat a guest, and is way dodgy.

On the way, our guides started explaining Mayan history and culture. The presentation was very well-done and engaging, in English and Spanish. Our guides had Masters degrees in Anthropology and gave thoughtful, intelligent answers to our questions, based on the latest research and academic papers.

The first stop was a small town for 45 minutes. There were a few stores to buy souvenirs: some items were well-priced, but the jewelry was significantly overpriced, with small pendants coming in at $100 each. Plastic skulls were priced at $80. I was more interested in cultural enrichment and history, so spending all this time shopping took away from other activities I found more interesting (more on this later).

This town also included a visit to a shaman, which was fascinating.

Next stop was the Ik Kil Cenote and lunch. 80 minutes was allocated for this activity, and it was not enough time to get a locker, change, swim, get changed again, and grab a bite at the buffet restaurant. It was very hot out, so I would have liked to spend my time swimming rather than shopping.

Next stop is the main event, Chichen Itza! Our guide was, again, excellent, and took us all over the park and explained the significance of each building, and the scientific achievements of the Maya. We received a bottle of water at the site, and our things were safely locked in the bus while we walked around.

After a few hours at Chichen Itza, it was time to go, so off we went. The ride back to Cancun was spent mostly in silence because people were tired from the heat, We passed through Valladolid, but didn't get a chance to stop, which was too bad. I would have liked to walk around and maybe purchase some local products, rather than spending time in a tourist trap.

This is a very long day, so be sure to bring extra water and snacks. Consider bringing an umbrella too, because the weather can be unpredictable.

The total time was 12 hours, and I have to really commend our tour guides for keeping their energy up for that long. Considering how long the day was, the value for what we paid was excellent.

TLDR: well-organized tour company with great staff, but a dodgy insurance agent.
