It's just ok. You have to rent a lifejacket to go in and the rental price is not included in you initial tour price! Lots of hidden fees on Cancun tours! Also, YOU DON'T NEED BUG SPRAY! Tour operators will scam you into buying a tiny bottle of citronella for $10 American when I found the same bottle at Walmart for $1! As for the meal, it was hurried and most of the food was gone by the time my group showed up. Only when we were leaving did they replenish the food! The swim was nice, wanted to stay longer and the meal would have been nice if we'd had more time. Advise to tour operators, cut the visit to the village at the end to give more time to swim and include ALL PRICES AND FEES in the tour price!!! Maybe put a lifeguard down there so people don't need those bad fitting, smelly life jackets.

I found this really cool. You got to see the swimming area even though I didn't swim. I also loved that you got to see the people working on the sculptures that are handcrafted.

Great experience with the local Shaman and their traditions regarding obsidian stone. Great underground sinkhole too!

All I wanted to see was the Maya ruins, but of course the tour company takes you here so some touristy time-wasters. Don't buy the US$10 mosquito spray (essential oils) they sell you. The bugs weren't that bad (Dec 2017).
