I didn't use Makuzi beach lodge but boss allowed me to go inside. That is very nice beach with some big stone.

Lovely place with friendly staff and amazing views of the lake.
The water is crystal clear and the environment very relaxing.

The rooms are beautiful and well taken care of with clean towels and sheets. The rooms also offer pleasant views.

What’s more amazing is the fact that it’s beautiful while maintaining the natural beauty of the environment which offers a lovely feel of nature.

The tours out of the lodge are also amazing especially the nearby hill which offers nice aerial views though we encountered snakes on the hill top (not sure what kind they were and no one was harmed).

Generally, Makuzi is a place to visit!! Loved it 😊

Six months ago, we got married at Mukuzi Beach Lodge and it was perfect for us. Not only is the beach and the view beautiful, but the owners and staff were brilliant and so kind. We wanted a relaxed elopement with just the two of us, and we got more than we could have hoped for. They arranged everything for us, from the priest to the flowers. The chalet we stayed in had an amazing view and direct access to our own little private part of the beach. At the day of our wedding we just relaxed on the beach until it was time to get ready. And when they picked us up, we walked to the wedding arch. The owner Lara took pictures (she really is quite good at it!) and the champagne was waiting for us at the end. We had a private dinner on the beach with candle light and the food was absolutely amazing. They even made us a croquembouche cake as dessert. It was such a great experience and we are still so happy we got the chance to marry at Makuzi Beach Lodge. The owners and staff were so kind and warm. They really made our wedding a perfect and romantic experience. They created the perfect ambiance for our elopement which suited our wishes brilliantly. They anticipated everything we needed and didn’t even know we wanted. They managed to organise a wedding that suited us seamlessly.

If you want a stress-free elopement on a beautiful beach with nothing else on your mind than just getting married together, we really recommend Makuzi Beach Lodge. But also if you’re not getting married, it is a perfect little paradise for a romantic getaway.

It is a wonderful place. I can't begin to list its beauties. The rooms are very nice on top of waking up by the lake with awesome view. , we prepared and ate our meals in a lush garden with a view. It really is a little slice of heaven. Accommodation is lovely, food delicious and the lake and views are spectacular. Great place with friendly staff, fantastic food and a beautiful views. The water is clear and the sand is all white with great food, well-stocked bar, gorgeous beach, beautiful surroundings, friendly staff, comfy bed. What more would one need for a relaxing time away?

One of the very best beach's along the beautiful Lake Malawi with a breath taking scenery and spectacular views; a sight for the sore eyes. It really has beautiful natural scenery with structures architecturally designed to suit its natural landscape.

This place is 5 star in all regards! We did a huge road trip all along Lake Malawi and this was the best place by far. They have a secluded fairy tale beach of very fine white sand with round rocks scattered as if put there by someone. The food was spectacular especially because we arranged to have dinner on the beach by candlelight. The accommodation is very clean and consist of the best linen. They have a huge beautiful and well kept garden filled with birds. The staff is professional, friendly and helpful.

I recommend this place for couples, honeymooners and people that can appreciate the best. We visited all the places along Lake Malawi over a period of two months and this was the best stop all around. You must make a booking before visiting as they do not have an open gate policy (which I also appreciate very much).
