We stayed in Chelinda Lodge in October. Our cabin was tucked in the woods, away from all other cabins and the main lobby, which was just 5 minutes walk down the slope. This cabin had 2 BR, a nice cozy living room with wood burning fire place, large bathroom, and a nice kitchen with a old style wood burning stove. It was like way back in time. There is a refrigerator that operates on paraffin oil - no electricity needed. You can even make ice from it. No electricity needed. Power comes on from 6 pm to 9 pm through a generator. Our most favorite part of this lodge is the house keeper (Dominique) that helped us with cooking, baking, and providing any other help. Make sure to pack all groceries, and baking supplies - Dominique will turn them into yummy food. If one needs gas for the car, it is possible to get it from one of the staff members, but it comes at a premium price!

Stayed here back in '02 and absolutely loved it. Hot water and showers and one amazing horseback safari. If you can get there i'd recommend it
