This resort is good, 15 mins away from Male (using Speed-boat). The staffs are friendly. I love the water-villa and the beach, but not the buffet for dinner.

I would recommend not staying here for more than 3 nights.

I,ve travelled the world and been to many resort like this over 40 years. We stayed at Thulhagiri for 8 days. I must say this rates among the lowest .I should have listened to the 4.8 rating I read about on the internet before I went. I wouldn't give it that! For what you pay (we stayed in an over the water villa), the value is not there. . Everything is old. The staff are good workers, but customer service falls between the cracks. Some have good and welcoming personalities, but most are drab and just doing their jobs. The place is over 30 years old and run down. All of the restaurant floors are sand if you like that. Sand is carried into the pathetic pool area and even into your room. Other reviews say the food was great, but I found that it was BORING. The same thing every meal. Besides, all the meats, chicken and fish were very dry. I've also scuba dived for many many years and was excited to come to the Maldives to dive. Three times we couldn't even go out for lack of enough divers. When we did I saw lots of small fish and pretty coral, At least the reefs were alive! But, if you've been diving awhile, you will see not much new. The visibility on almost every dive was also not very good. Maybe I'm a jaded diver, but this is not what I expected after all I'd heard about the Maldives.

For the money, the value is just not there. It would be worth a longer than 20 minute boat ride from Male (as they tout) to find a bit more expensive and newer place for your Maldives diving or holiday.

    Disappointed Bobby
