Amazing resort for honeymooners and families

Nice new resort. Almost finished (March 2018). Reef has many fishes and turtles. Corals mostly dead - just like any other maledivian resort. You can see that the Reef is recovering from the heavy coral bleaching in 2016.

This resort opened in December 2017. My husband and I had originally booked for 10 nights, but we extended our stay as we were having such a lovely time. There were 1 or 2 teething problems (it's new), but the management and staff were wonderful. Management, in particular, made the time to listen and act upon the little niggles we had. We wouldn't hesitate to go back

Lots of green and lots of restaurants and bars and excellent beach. Great view of the sea from the rooms. Food is okay but not too good. Worth the price.

* The Welcome
The reservations staff was totally helpful in setting up transportation and coordination with my overnight transit hotel on the main island. They answered all my questions and assured an extremely smooth transfer from landing in Male to arrival at their island, and back.

* The room
Stayed in their Water Villa with an incredible view, and personal water / snorkeling access. The Water Villas were situated quietly at one end of the island, away from the hustle and bustle of the main facilities. Which is good if your are focusing on just enjoying the view with a book, but somewhat of a distance to walk to get to activities. If we get to go again, would probably choose a Deluxe Villa, with a reserved recliner and umbrella on the beach.

* Activities
The people at Sasha Water Sport were incredible! They were very accommodating and willing to reschedule pretty much all of our activities to better fit the weather. The staff were super friendly, and I can't say enough good things about them.

* Dining
From the All-Inclusive buffet bar, to the 24 hour dining on the pier, to the upscale Saima Garden, the spread was great. The resort was ecologically conscious to not cause light pollution, but sometimes made it difficult to see the food.

* WiFi
The WiFi had a good solid connection at the reception desk and main bar. No in-room wifi, which was good as you're not there to sit in your room staring at a computer screen.

* Clothing suggestion
Men: just bring 2-3 swim trunks and rotate wearing them. "Clothes" are for visiting the local islands and the travel on the main island.
Women: stay cool, and whatever you don't mind getting wet and sandy as the waves lap you as you walk on the beach.

The paths through the inner part of the island were a little "sand bare", so were harder on my bare feet. Sandles were actually quite helpful.

What a place!
Jaw dropping TMA flight in. Cracking hospitality. Coral teeming with fish and whopping great big fruit bats hanging around. Amazing.

Excellent service, food and atmosphere. Beautiful island , a close to paradise as I think you can get. Shame everything on the island is do damned expensive. Hardly a surprise based on the exclusivity! Highly recommend if you have the means.
