As the name itself implies, it is a man made beach and is a haven for the local people as well as foreigners. A long stretch of land reclaimed from the sea forms the beach. Specially made swimming area is available and is a favourite haunt of the people of Male' for sea bathing. Since it is an open space there are certain restrictions in using swimwear. Cafe' and restaurants are available for the visitors. It is also a place of social gathering where carnivals and shows and concerts are held. There are also facilities for certain sports.

The eastern seafront of Male is the city’s recreational centre. Here, a small beach 🏊 has been made from the breakwater tetrapods and there’s a big range of cafes next to it. The beach is a no bikini beach. Adjacent to the beach is an open field for ad hoc games of football, basket ball and cricket. 🏀 ⚽

One of the best places to relax in a rather busy city !! If you are lucky enough you'd be able to catch a glimpse of a plane landing at Male airport. Fantastic view!!

One of the most beautiful places in the Malé. Best place to bring the children to play in the evening. There are few good restaurants to taste good food near the beach. Colour of the water is crystal clear and shining sky blue. Bikinis or short dresses are not allowed in this area. Must visit place in Maldives.
