The ferry is nice.The very first time to Male and the last day at Maldive. We came here for our dinner because our flight was still too early. I met the very rude guy there. He started saying bad word f*****g to us because we neglected his invitation to the restaurant. He said here is his f*****g country, not our f*****g country, continued saying that word for five minutes and followed us. We just told him, we will go ourselves around. He seen unhappy. That's the first time I saw a very rude Maldivian. Oh god!

A very small jetty serving passengers from Male to the airport.
There is a booth here selling tickets 10 Rufiya per trip.
Beside this jetty there are other jetties that function the same.
It is a common site here of boxes being placed along the pathway and blocking pedastrian.

Ferry to and from airport every 10 min in between 6:00 AM to 00:00 AM. which will cost you 10 Rufiyah or USD 1. But between 12:00 AM innthe midnight till 6:00 AM in the morning ferry leaves every 20 min and will cost you 2 USD or 20 Rufiyah. On Friday 11:00 to 13:00 there may not be any ferry.. so plan in advance

As it is now, till the Airport Bridge project is complete and Male' City is connected to Velana International Airport in the nearby Island of Hulhule, these ferry boats and likewise are the only mode of transport from Male' City to the Airport.
MVR 10 per ticket between 06:00hrs to 23:59hrs &MVR 20 from 00:00 to 05:59hrs
Foreigners who are paying in USD maybe be charged $1 (= MVR 15.42) so its better to pay in MVR 10 in local currency.
Most Ferry boats are quite small, seats are wooden benches and could be full of passengers most times.

The ferry service is approximately every 10 minutes from 6:00AM - 00.00 AM and every 30 minutes after midnight. 1 USD or 10 MVR between 06.00 - 00.00 AM and 2 USD or 20 MVR after midnight. Time to travel is approximately 15-20 minutes.

This is the arrival point for regular airport-ferries coming from the airport.

This is like a regular bus top. There are no toilets or proper seating and shading from bad weather. The wait here can be 5-20 minutes depending on the availability of taxis/cabs.

Convenient jetty. Ferry/boat not available from 1100-1300hrs on Friday. Rest every 15min intervals.
