This has been rated a very good place but the Musuem is currently closed for refurbishment.
Renovation is taking way too much time thus I wasn't allowed in. I'm neutral so far.
I didn't get a chance to go in since it is under renovation which I only know when I am there. So please double check if it reopens when you go there.
A beautiful place to visit
Old but nice museum.. Closed on Wednesdays.
Free access museum on natural history including a life size dodo
It is a small museum, a bit hard to find the entrance. It is free and has interesting information on the dodo.
This probably is the smallest museum I ever been. But the contents is great. I learned a lot from this trip. Worth
Small, but perfectly formed. It is housed in what looks like an old colonial house, with tall ceilings. Good exhibits on the Dodo and the history of the island. I liked the multicoloured Dodos in the grounds. It only takes 30-60 minutes to look around. Well worth seeing.
The only natural history museum in Mauritius. Not very dynamic but very interesting nevertheless. The whale seems very artificial now, after all these years of painting and repainting.
