Tried to get the cakes on display at the Lux near departure gates at 10.45pm but was rudely told by the male staff that they were closed. They are supposed to close at 11pm instead..

I tried to obtain the phone number from Cafe Lux at the airport, rang their head office in Curepipe, who then transferred me to the Tamassa Hotel who could not communicate me the number. I rang Lux head office again and asked to speak to the marketing.
Finally got the information.
They have 2 cafes: One before and after emigration. Their opening hours are not regular and depend on flight departure and arrival.
On flight departure Cafe Lux opens 3 hours before flight. They close on last flight arrival. They currently have a last flight departure to Rodrigues at 02.20 in the morning. Once everyone is boarded they close.
The rating is based on their service and not in obtaining the information the above information.
They provide a good coffee and pastries at an average of 3 Euros per person. They do offer other sundries.
