Great tour, the top part is locked, but you can go around and achieve the top.

We started our hike at 5:45am to beat the heat and the crowds. It took us slightly above 2 hours to get to the top and back with 30 min spent at the top. We found it to be an easy hike beyond the green gate with spectacular views. We did much harder hikes in Hawaii and St. Lucia. There was no security guard and yes there is a gate which you can pass by on the side if it is closed. A few tour companies including Yanature has the key to open it. We hired a private guide through Yanature because we thought there is a guard at the gate (this info came from tripadvisor reviews which is completely false). We asked our guide and he confirmed that there was never a guard at the gate.

Terrific trail providing amazing expansive views. About 45 minutes gets you to a couple great lookout and photo spots. More adventurous folks without kids can scramble for the very top, conditions permitting.

What a view. Easy trail for around 2km but then the track gets narrower and difficult. Some sections usually contain ropes however they have been removed for maintanence so parts are quite tricky. Would recommend starting early in the morning (7am) to avoid the midday Sun. Good hiking shoes and moderate fitness level required.

Nice, easy walk up until you reach an outpost. From there the trail becomes a lot more challenging. Took me about 1:15h from the entrance (parking) to the peak. Make sure to wear appropriate shoes and be aware of the sun.

Wow, a really enjoyable climb/hike up the mountain. Certain portions had ropes, but it was all safe and amazing views from up top.
