Sandy beaches, great Mauritius hospitality and smile all over you would go. Great and very abundant choices of dishes and menus. Spacious rooms and the services are really world class. Have better beaches in some other hotels but still it's an amazing beach. Have some sporting activities but lack a golf course. Easy to find your way in that zone as the road is straight.

Great location

Bad Services

Room services are bad

They put drinking water in the first night only (only 2 bottles). Then we have to buy

Some of the nights do not have variety in the food at their buffet restaurant. They do not have corner for the kids food at all

Their staff at beach bar having very bad services. They are not respoding to us if we call them and most of the times ignoring their guests

I had lunch at the room and had food poisoning which result in going to hospital. When i told hotel Management about the food and even submit the Medical report to him, the Manager was defending on the hotel and he was careless on his guests and reject my request to not pay for the food. He offered me only discount in some of the water bottles i ordered at room whih is Rs 400 ++. Shame..

An excellent resort. Despite its (big!) size, tou never feel overwhelmed by the other guests as there are enough sunbeds spread all around the beach and garden.
Staff is extremely helpful and friendly.
If you dont mind having no ocean view, consider the junior suite in the garden, with a zen view on the japanese garden.
Food quality is really good, even at breakfast or at the diner buffet.
Evenings have 2 atmosphere: piano with great singer at the main bar, or more modern at the beach bar. Cool!
Rooms are large though somewhat aged, but with great comfort and plenty of amenities.
I definitely would come back!

It was a delightful stay at Sofitel Mauritius L'imperial! Great hospitality, beautiful beach and pool, nice rooms! The kids liked the play area. It was an amazing getaway for the family!

Very pleasant hotel, good staff, great breakfast. A really lovely stay, with staff being helpful. a most comfortable room, lovely grounds, just an enchanting experience.

The ONLY downside (and the reason this did not get 10/10) was the ridiculous Spa rules if you want to use the Sauna or Steam room (Hammam), where they want you to pick up a towel from the poolside and later deposit it at poolside after use. This is the first hotel I have used where the Spa does not provide towels! It defeats the purpose of being relaxed, if one has to go across to the pool both before and after the spa experience.

One other minor issue is that the beach has a lot of broken coral, but that is the same everywhere around Flic en Flac.

Great luxury hotel!

This is a hotel I would clearly recommend for anyone who wants to visit Mauritius.
Everything is as you would expect from a 5* international brand hotel.

We stayed here for one week, during our holiday in Mauritius and I can say that we enjoyed it a lot.

Our package included half board, so in the morning and in the evening we could benefit from the very nice selection of food. Each evening there was a different food theme.

The hotel has a large beach at the water front just perfect for swimming or snorkeling. There are also pedal boats available for free to the hotel customers.

As amenities, the hotel has a few saunas, spa facilities, a few "a la carte" restaurants which are available only with an advance reservation.

Happy with the rooms and up keep of the hotel and general experience. Friendly staff cleaning the rooms and at the dining areas. Lovely gardens, beach well kept for use of the guests. Wifi easy to access and reliable. Overall a good experience with one or two blips.

Bathroom design in the room a bit odd.

Extremely disappointed with the reception staff who were not helpful on checkin when a ground floor room that was requested prior to arrival was requested was not provided or checkout to facilitate an additional hour due to travel arrangements. Only after escalation via our travel agent and to the manager at the hotel was help provided.

Rooms are nice and spacious but lack of wifi made it difficult to stay there a whole week. Not a hotel that caters for business people. Bfast is repetitive and not creative. Pool and beach area are beautiful. I was surprised you ask guests to wear trousers at night. It's the beach.

Nice hotel, but over all cleaning of the room was variable from day to day. Often someting missing like types of towels, shower gel, shampo, water bottles or coffee.

The food was very nice but the room was a bit dirty even they were clean every day. The bathroom should be more paid attention for clean. The swimming pool was very big enough with fun. The staff was very lovely. The airport is quite far away from the hotel about 1hr.

Nice hotel but let down by the food.

PROS: Very nice rooms, great grounds and there is a spa though I did not get to use it. The internet connectivity was also reliable. There is a nice kids section with a small pool for them as well as other activities.
There are also free glass boat rides and water cycles available for adults among other activities like archery.

CONS: Food is average and there is only one pool for the whole hotel. When checking out, we asked to have breakfast at 5.30am in order to catch an early flight but despite our request, we only got a selection of fruits, cereals and bread for breakfast as the chefs were not available.

TIPS: there are beach beds but you need to reserve them really early in the morning (before breakfast) as the best ones get taken quickly. Get the ones with a curtain roof as the sun can get really hot. Take a Catamaran Cruise to see a bit more of Mauritius as well, its well worth it!

A very good hotel. Lots of fun activities are there. Good environment and facilities by them are loving. -2 star just because of food. Indian food is just missing as my sixth finger in my hand is missing. Family and friends had trouble of food. Other than food it was an awesome experience staying here.
