Nice food and nice setting. Waiters are helpful. However the place needs renovation. We got a table on the water side and the furniture was just a shame. Overall a nice place!

The ambiance is one uniqur experience to enjoy time with family, friends or colleagues. A quite interesting venue for romantic dinner. The food is quite simple chinese cuisine, which you might get anywhere else.
A planned dinner will cost you around Rs 1200 per person, without alcoholic drinks.

One of the most popular creole-chinese restaurants across the island. It does not disappoint you with regards to the ambiance and the the food as well. Serves up some delicious sea food. Perfect place for a date or a family dinner. A booking for the table is a must, especially on weekends. Also, the approach road leading from the round-about to the domaine itself is very badly maintained with a lot of potholes and gets really dark in the nights.

It’s my first time in this restaurant, and I think that it’s the best restaurant in the whole island. The staff is nice and friendly, but most of the time you need to be patient and wait. As there are a lot of people, sometimes your order can be melted. But still the best place. They also have a life music on Friday and Saturdays for sure, about the Sunday I am not sure.

Used to be a frequent visitor in the past Was one of the best, if not the best, restaurant in Mauritius. This visit, however, was a completely different story.

First let's talk about the food.
The portions were of smaller size than usual.
The beef was overcooked, the chicken was tough.

The only positive of the whole dinner was the lobster.

The service was bloody awful. It took more than an hour to bring the main course and another 10 minutes for the rice.

It took 15 minutes to obtain the bill.

Would not even think of trying again and would not recommend to anyone.

Food was excellent, service pretty good but we asked if we could be seated in the seperate water seating area with our own table/room (sorry don't remember what it's called) and were told that it was not possible.
I sat through dinner staring at a table/room that could accommodate my party, waiting for a group to take it but nobody did. Needless to say I was disappointed that the staff lied to us. I didn't make a fuss with them because I didn't want to be the downer so I let my wallet do the talking, no tip. It's a large restaurant with great outdoor park like setting. I suggest you clarify if you want those special tables before you go to prevent disappointment.

Serves mostly seafood. The mixed palm heart salad with lobster was delicious. Excellent veg menu too consisting of japanese tofu and vegetable sauté.

This is a good place to be. The road leading to the restaurant has many potholes, so be prepared for a slightly shaky drive.
Once you reach though, it is a nice and cosy place. Well lit at night. Seating indoor and outdoor, with beautiful scenery and large aquariums.
Obviously food is relatively expensive, and there may be a waiting time. Buy you do get quality at that cost. Waiters mostly courteous.
    Food tastes good.
    Mostly continental and Chinese.
    Recommended.

I was there on a Wednesday night. The restaurant was not crowded unlike on Fridays and Saturdays. When I reserved a table, I enquired about corkage fee and was told that for both wine and other spirits the amount charged is MUR 650 and I agreed. When I got there I waited less than one minute to be greeted and taken to the table I had reserved. Service was good. The orders came fairly quickly. The food was excellent. I would strongly recommend the seafood there. To end a nice dinner, I was agreeably surprised that no corkage was charged.

Cheap bottle Chili sauce instead if local homemade. Chicken too oily. Ricard in a soft drink glass! Awful!

The best place of fine dining experience in south area: atypical and original decoration, Bangalows on water are romantic and private. The food was tasty with Chinese roots and western touch, a ne pas manquer!

Very beautiful place but very poor service. Reservation was made for 7pm, but our table was not ready yet at 7pm. People who have come after us, was served first. In some of the food, there was too much salt.

Just a warning to all new customers or for anyone wanting to try this restaurant. Do not waste your time as it's on your dime. They do have bad days and good days but for the most part, it's bad days.

We had a party of 4 on 1/12/2017 for dinner and by far the worst service and food I've ever had. My wife ordered a cocktail and tasted watered down and had to order another one which was more appropriate. I ordered a whiskey with a splash of water and waiter did not understand at all and brought a bottle of water, sure. Ignorance is bliss.

In the process of ordering appetizers and find out that we cannot order any of them as they do not have heart of palm but still want to charge the same price for a bed of lettuce. Never heard or seen this before. Waiter did not apologize at all. We ordered something else instead.

Ordered main course and mine was the grilled lobster with garlic butter and flambé with whisky. After the flambé was done by the waiter, it looked pretty good as you see in the picture but was inedible after first bite as it was bitter. Not sure what happened there and had both my wife and mum try it out and both said that it was bitter as well. Spoke with the waiter and he acted dumbfounded and still did not apologize. He walked off with my plate and I asked to replaced it with what my wife is having and after quite a while, I catch him walking around and ask him if I'm getting my food and he tells me; "kitchen is close and they close at 10". Thanks for heads up. Lack of training, customer service and total disregards for the customer.

Came for dinner with the family and left with no dinner, hungry and baffled. The restaurant only care about big groups as they make much more money and the small parties suffer so unless you're a big party, don't waste your time as you might not get the service that you deserve instead opt for small family owned restaurant where you will treated much better and like family at some of them. As far as I am concerned, I will never be back and by the reputation of it after talking to several people on the island, it's only a matter of time before it becomes a fly by night restaurant if they keep this up. Money is the only thing on the mind of the restaurant and nothing else. Thanks but no thanks.
