After reading many negative reviews on Facebook, we decided to give Bistro Barbu a try.
I absolutely fell in love with the retro chic decoration of the 'bistro'. We were not greeted by any of the waiters until we went up to them to ask where can we sit.
We were promptly given the menu card though and the waiter took our order as soon as we were ready.
Unfortunately the waiting time was a bit long (around 20mins) but the place is buzzing with people so we can understand.
Our burger are served in a very chic and unique manner under glass bells and we are totally amazed. Our annoyance with the lengthy waiting time is quickly forgotten as soon we dig into the food. Our burgers are packed with ingredients and absolutely delicious.
A nice place to have lunch or dinner in Curepipe despite prices being on the high side. A large range of choices for meat lovers but not so much for people who don't eat meat and even more restricted for vegetarians and vegans. One negative point would be the bar man's attitude which is quite unpleasant. No thank you or goodbye is absolutely unacceptable and not a good reflection of the place. Me not removing more than one star is generous.

A quaint little spot, great food. Slightly pricey and watch out for their "home brewed Ice Tea", its just regular store bought Ice Tea.

They could greatly expand their beer selection. Less than average selection.

The salad is amazing!! I always go back for that. ~ ^^
Best salad I've had in the island.

Burger is also pretty good, you can tell it's freshly made and not some frozen food they throw at you.

Service was awesome, nice and friendly staff.

Highly recommended if you are around curepipe.

You want a gourmet and classy burger place, then you've got to go there.

The drinks and food range is quite short ( other items besides burgers are available in the menu ) but it is properly done!

The atmosphere and retro decor pairs very well with the kind of food they serve but make sure you do make a reservation before going there!

A lovely place to dine in or for a good lunch!

First time was good! Food and service. But past two times wasn't. Took over one hour for my burger and finally rush waitress, she gave me chicken burger instead of beef. Plus no more avocado in burgers.
