Simply known as 'Cathedral', this member of the UNESCO - Historic City Centre of Macau can be found on the small Cathedral Square located south and east of Senado Square.
What we like about Cathedral is the alter area, including the nice stained glassed windows. There is also a nice sacramental image of 'Our Lady of Fatima' found just to the right of the alter. Just outside the church, you can see the decent square and the recently repainted Bishops House directly to the left of Cathedral when facing the church.
You can find it easily by following the signs pointing the way to various World Heritage attractions in the area. This one is just a few minute walk from St. Dominic's Church. It can be conveniently visited in 10-15 minutes.
Tip: If short on time, see St. Dominic's Church first. It is a more attractive and interesting church to visit compared to Cathedral.
Tip: Mass schedule is posted outside the inner entrance at Cathedral for those interested.
Historical cathedral of Macau. It seems less magnificent than the ruin of St Paul.
Beautiful place to visit when you are in macau, near to gran lisboa casino
Main church of the city
Beautiful small plaza with a fountain and a church that is still in operation.
The beautiful church in Macau to pray and watch Mass
While the cathedral is basic, the small sqaure outside and the walls present great photo opportunities.
A peaceful oasis.
Not very welcoming unlike the other Catholic Churches I went to. However you could still take pictures of the inside but at a very far distance at the entrance. But still it's imposing facade is worth visiting.
Just go there, sit down and pray as it's now not welcoming the tourists.
Very nice
A place for prayer. They ask for no visitors, but tourists will be tourists.
