The food was pretty average given the tourist prices, there are plenty of opportunities to eat vegetarian food in local restaurants for half of the price and double the portions. Waiter could also have cracked a smile once in a while.
Food was very good. Guacamole was tasty but a bit boring in my opinion. Curry was spot on. Service and dining area was also lovely, beware of the little children trying to trade their foreign bills for kyat. Price wise, not bad 7$ for a drink and 2 dishes. But for Myanmar this is a bit pricy. But again, you get what you pay gor :)
Love this place. So far my second favorite restaurant in Bagan. Lime juice was great. Guacamole and Papadom was amazing.
Nice vegetarian restaurant. I like the way they put cilantro into the lentil soup and a coconut based curry with pineapple. The gingery drink is a must try
I'm not vegetarian, but we ate in this place twice. Very tasty food and great selection of dishes. Amazing value and very nice atmosphere. Highly recommended.
Best meal I had in Myanmar and I'm not even a vegetarian.
The #14 dragon fruit drink is to die for! Perfect for a post-sunset refuel. I'm not vegetarian, but their food more than makes up for the lack of meat. I came here multiple times during my stay at Bagan because it was reasonably priced and offered yummy Myanmar cuisine.
Green curry is delicious! Lovely vibes for a restaurant in old Bangan but prices are a little higher here. Always refuse when the staff comes by and ask if you need transport/exchange for local currency - it's an extortion! That aside, great place to take a break in hot hot HOT Bagan.
One of the top 2 restaurants in Bagan. An absolutely must
The waitress seemed annoyed when we arrived and we could tell she wasn't happy to work (we were alone there).
They were out of beer and out of massaman curry. The dishes were ok and small portions.
The waiters would spit just outside our table as we were eating, I understand it's normal for them but there should be some consideration at a restaurant catered to foreigners.
The lady that runs it is very funny and speaks english well enough. She spent the entire lunch asserting how "very good" her meal was. The guacamole is nice but too much lime for my taste. The eggplant curry is quite nice but the mixed vegetable one is basically steamed vegetables. The mango smoothie is very good.
Nice casual place. Friendly service. If you are a vegetarian, you will love the food. Unfortunately, I am really a carnivore. I tried my luck and asked the waiter if they have chicken, and he pointed to their restaurant name 'Be Kind to Animals' , haha, now I know why it is called that. They added 'Moon' to the name now as another restaurant nearby copied, so make sure you go to the original. Still a good place to hang out in Old Bagan in between temple hops.
Tasty variety of veggie food. Affordable prices. Friendly staff.
Delicious food and very friendly staff! We went there two nights in a row
Amazing place to eat. We ate her every night of our stay as the food was so good. Staff are really friendly and the atmosphere is lovely.
Great lunch spot with a convenient location (close to major temples). It wasn't too busy so a staff member sat with us and answered our questions about Buddhism etc - it was an awesome experience all around!
Excellent for vegetarian eats. From guacamole and pappadums to burgers and some of the best shakes I've ever tasted - the moon is great. Vibe is good, staff are fairly attentive. For a cooler vibe and a larger more exciting venue, try their newly opened second branch, The Moon 2.
Make sure you go the correct place, there is a copy cat restaurant opposite. The food was quite good and the waiters attentive. The only small issue were the plentiful flies. I can recommend the aubergine curry.
Very nice place with great atmosphere. Good to spend the hot time after noon for coffee, juices and food. Loved the vegetarian burger, but the fresh spring rolls were quite small and few considering the price.
Solid vegetarian restaurant with great salads and curries. We had the glass noodles which were really nice. The service is unfortunately what let's this place down - there is a fantastic waitress but the rest of the waiters are very surly. Be warned that orders do take a fair while and service is really slow.
Very good food with lots of options. We had the pumpkin, pineapple, and tofu curries along with spring rolls and a veggie burger. All around great food. Prices are also affordable. Only downside is slow service that keeps this place from 5 stars
