In addition to the old building with 20 rooms, the HOME Hotel recently launched a new building with over 70 rooms. The two buildings are connected at the second floor with the staircase.
Amazed by how well-furnished this hotel is -- each and every single detail such as customized wood carving of the doors, ceiling and furniture -- this hotel will give you not only the comfort but also the beauty of Asian architecture.
As soon as I entered the hotel, I was attracted by the unique design of the furnitures at the lobby -- you will recognize the pattern of the hotel logo from the chair design.
What I like more is this hotel got a "single room category" which is quite rare for a hotel to have one. There are very few hotels in Mandalay to have this kind of room type and trust me, this hotel got a cheaper and more comfortable single room in the entire Mandalay city.
Great service. Room was nice, clean and new. Very nice breakfast
Beautiful carvings from Myanmar done by craftsmen on site as they build the hotel. Each room has woodcarvings that are unique to the hotel.
Good location on a busy street. Bedroom was clean, quite big and the shower was amazing! Nice staff and reasonable breakfast
Centrally located. Nice comfortable hotel with contemporary atmosphere. Good service, good room, good room wifi. Breakfast was just ok.
Good place. Neat and clean. Staffs are lovely & helpful.
Good decent hotel with well.appointed rooms. Stayed just for a night. Staff were helpful in getting us transfers . Seemed to be in the heart of Mandalay.
Hotel just finished renovation and looks very classy. Fantastic bathrooms, good free breakfast with local mohinga and made on request eggs of your type.
New hotel at the point of review. Not much facilities in the hotel. Just a place to get a comfy bed and a good sleep while stopping by Mandalay.
Great hotel. Clean rooms, friendly staff and a good location tucked off the main road just enough to give you some space, but still convenient to everything you want to see in Mandalay. The staff were always there to greet us and help with taxis.
Solid breakfast too (ask and they'll make you an omelette or eggs however you want)
Room was clean and breakfast was pretty good. Staff very nice. Hotel under renovation and will be much more luxurious when done. At the moment there is no elevator so go for a low floor. There is secure motorcycle parking. Reception gave good advice about restaurants.
Good service mind, big room and clean. Recommend to stay here.
It's alright but missing a few key things - there's no food/restaurant available in the hotel (apart from Breakfast), there's no room service (it was storming outside so we couldn't leave to find somewhere to eat) and there's no elevators (we were on the top floor - legs definitely got a workout!)
As per usual in Myanmar there were power failures which cut electricity to the hotel - not the hotel's fault, but bothersome nonetheless.
I must say the staff here were well above average. The new part of the hotel was not completed , but the old part was Great. Location is good , street food easy and cold beers.
Good price - value. Very friendly staff. A little bit off the path (but walking distance from the airport bus stop).
Room and service are truly excellent but loses a star for ongoing construction and fact that couldn't shake the feeling of being nickel and dimed to pay for new hotel. Small load of laundry cost equivalent of 35 haircuts around corner.
Early October 2016: heavy construction noise due to remodeling work.
Clean hotel. Downside can be walking up to the 5th floor with your luggage, but it's a minor hassle unless you're sick. They offer a very nice breakfast and are very helpful arranging buses, taxis, and giving a detailed introduction to Mandalay's sights and restaurants.
