It's a beautiful Stupa, but it does not have the swing of Shwedagon in Yangon. It's more tranquil, so those who want to worship should come here. It does get very hot in summer though, so try to avoid midday

The tallest pagoda is Myanmar, and you can probably get better photos of it than the Shwedagon because the crowds are much smaller. Still a nice sight to behold!

Although similar in size to Yangon's Shwedagon, I wasn't as taken by it - maybe it's reached pagoda duration point by then. 10,000 kyat pass will get you into other landmarks in Bago's Heritage Zone. A warning: try not to use the toilets - they are disgusting, all the more for the fact that you'll have nothing on your feet.

A must-go place in yangon. Very beautiful pagoda. Best time to go after 5pm where you can view the sunset and night scene of the stupa. It's so beautiful at night! Many devotees do their meditation in this place. Remember, short and Bermudas are not allowed.

The tallest Pagoda in Myanmar. Nice place to explore. If you want to park you car, it's 300 Kyats and it's right next to the Pagoda.

According to locals, this is the tallest pagoda in Myanmar and also houses different relics from Buddha.

Like Shwedagon in Yangon, the pagoda is surrounded with different smaller shrines and also faithful pilgrims. One difference is that it is not as crowded as Shwedagon, and it has several different religious items too, like a rock in the middle where the faithful planted their incense on.

Tallest pagoda in Burma is definitely worth seeing! It is impressive, huge and beautifull. You will meet literally just handful of Western tourists there (unseen in Southeast Asia!). If you take a local bus to get there, the trip is even more fun.
Remember, during sunny days it is really hot over there with little places to hide.
