We didn't stay at the hotel because it was booked but the restaurant is excellent. Reasonable prices, excellent service, good quality food, and right next to the beach!!

This place is designed to attract people with holiday budgets.3 kinds of bungalow such as detached bamboo bungalow with fan (33$/ 33000mmk only ) 6 detached bamboo bungalows with garden view ( indeed sea view absolutely )/4 upgraded bamboo bungalows with a/c,tv,mini bar, hot & cold water ( D-2 and D-3 two bungalows : it has favourable sea view - to be honest ) 50$/50000mmk then 9 adjoining cement bungalows is definitely situated at the nearest beach front line to sea ; 60$(2 pax)60000mmk /72$(3 pax ) 72000mmk ; each room has one single bed and one double bed ; buffet breakfast is included in season.Free wifi service will be provided later on.

You can hear the waves from your bed. The prices are moderate.
The staff is very friendly and the management is very welcoming.

Beautiful peaceful resort on a beautiful peaceful stretch of beach.
Budget cabanas are very cute and basic- and you get what you pay for.
My only complaint was that room was quite dusty- was worth wetting a towel and running it over the place!
Also just a note if you are looking for accommodation - and I do really recommend Shwe Hin Tha - but! I was suffering a severe upset tummy by this stage of my travels, and have to admit it was a truly long stretch, hot and insufferably boring 48 hours being sick in a basic little hut with no electricity during the hottest part of the day. But this was nobody's fault just bad timing!
All in all a great place and I am almost loathe to recommend it as I don't want Ngwe Saung to become too popular!

Great smallish resort on a relatively quiet beach is also one the most affordable in the area. All the rooms are awesome little cabanas which make for a pretty and comfortable home away from home. The on-site restaurant has decent food and cheap beer, and you can rent bicycles or motorbikes on premise.
