A public hospital situated at the heart of Yangon. It is also a teaching hospital under University of Medicine - 1, Yangon. It was founded in 1984. Only for Medical and Surgical patients. The doctors and nurses give excellent service. The laboratory service is good too. There is also pay room. I recommend this hospital over Yangon General Hospital as here patients are not so crowded.

Straight in to the main desk and assessed then take up stairs and reassessed followed by a referral to the senior doctor who provided advise and medication and sent on my way. No charge.
All doctors and support staff were females and could have sworn i was being flirted with. What a great experience.
If attending the hospital be prepared to beasked the same questions by every person in the ward.

This place saved my life back in my teens. Not as bad as other Government hospitals and not as good as Public Specialist Centres. And not expensive either. Pretty clean and better compared to other hospitals.
