Very interesting pagoda with an ancient Buddha completely covered with gold leaf. It is fun to go up to stick some leaves there, as they aren't expensive at all. Pity is that only men are allowed inside. There are also some important treasures around the pagoda.

This temple has a gold buddha. People buy gold paper to place on the gold buddha. It is a very cool looking buddha!

Mahamuni Pagoda was built in 1784 with a bronze Buddha statue, 4 meters high, weighs 4.5 tons, wearing robes and a hat with a wealth of gold leaf layer 15 cm thick on the body by the Buddhists paste up through the years . However, women are prohibited from approaching Buddha, only kneel to pray in the back fence.

Very popular local temple. Men would be adding gold leaves to the Buddha statue. Male tourists are allowed to approach to take a closer look
