The big Buddha image is made of a Jade stone. It is located on the top of hill and view from here is also nice. There are several things to see and good for walking too.

According to the stone record,
Raw marble stone was found by U Taw Taw ( expert of stone curving) at marble mountain in Matayar township, Mandalay division.
This marble stone is seem to be a little bit clear than normal marble stone ( Not crystal stone as some people saying like that )
Stone size is (L=37,B=24,T=11) feet.
U Taw Taw donated this stone to government and military junta Than Shwe instructed to make Buddha image.
After rough image was finished, image was moved to Yangon at 10.7.2000.
At 28.11.2001 fine curving was finished and worship ceremony was carried out at present place.
At 27.2.2002 The name of Buddha image’ name giving ceremony was held.

ယခင် တပ်မတော်ထောက်လှမ်းရေး ဗိုလ်ချုပ်ကြီး ခင်ညွန့် တည်ထားခဲ့တဲ့ ဘုရားဖြစ်ပါတယ် မန္တလေးတိုင်းမှာ တွေ့ရှိခဲတဲ့ စကျင်ကျောက်တုံးကြီးကို ဧရာဝတီမြစ်ကြောင်းအတိုင်း သယ်ဆောင်ခဲ့ပြီး မြစ်ကမ်းတစ်လျှောက် အမြို့မြို့အနယ်နယ်မှာ ဝင်ရောက်ပူဇော်ခံခဲ့ပါတယ် ရေလမ်းကုန်းလမ်း အဆင့်ဆင့်သယ်ယူခဲ့ပြီး အင်းစိန် စော်ဘွားကြီးကုန်းနားက မင်းဓမ္မကုန်းတော်ပေါ်မှာ ဘုရားအဖြစ်ထုလုပ်တည်ထားခဲ့ပါတယ်
" လောကချမ်းသာအဘယလာဘမုနိ " လို့ ဘွဲ့တော်ခေါ်တွင်ခဲ့ပြီး " ကျောက်တော်ကြီးဘုရား " လို့လည်း လူသိများပါတယ်

လူသူအရောက်အပေါက်နည်းပါတယ် ညနေချမ်းတွေဆို အေးချမ်းပါတယ် ဘုရားဝတ်ပြုဖို့ကောင်းတဲ့ နေရာတစ်ခုဖြစ်ပါတယ်

Impressive marble Buddha image at the pagoda here. Some potentially nice views from the top of the pagoda platform as well. The usual local stalls and kiosks surround the base of the pagoda.
