I don't know about the hotel services. But the restaurant near hotel is really bad. They put not only the foods more which we didn't order but also billed more than they showed in the menu. So I complained HR manager. She solved for us. I don't like a woman who is working in that restaurant. She is not honest. I think her age is around 50.

The hotel's facility and scenery are fabulous but not the staff's customer service. Staffs should be trained well!

Very nice hotel, but a little far from the town center. The building clearly dates back to the colonial times, with large rooms and high ceilings. The bathroom was a little basic given the price tag of the rooms here. There was also a heater in the room, which was very useful during the unexpectedly cold nights on the hill!
Staff was friendly. We arrived in the middle of the night by bus - our driver had to search for a while to find someone with keys to our room.
Breakfast was good with a large selection of dishes, predominantly western-oriented. We also ate dinner in the restaurant one night, which was very convenient and very good as well, but more pricy and probably not quite as authentic as other places around town.response / report this review -

A quiet, historic hotel with good service and nice bathroom. Very comfortable. Breakfast was just ok. A bit far from downtown, about 20 min walk.

A beautiful hotel in Kalaw with Tudor style building, since 1903.
Since the weather of Kalaw and scene are nice, when it combine with beautiful buliding and landscape, it become perfect. It is very similar with some small town of Europe and atmosphere.response / report this review -

The very 1st hotel in Kalaw dating back to 1903, which is more than 100+ years old. The design is very colonial style. It have large compound with nice scenery. The interesting is the lover tree where 2 different species of tree is growing together for over 100 years.

This is really a step back in time. Amazing service, good breakfast, and nice rooms. Wi-Fi doesn't really work, but that's to be expected in Myanmar. The atmosphere here is so classic though, and the staff speak great English. I would really recommend a stay in this place if you have the budget.

Great Hotel when you want peace and quiet from Yangon, very nice staff and beautiful property. About a 15-20 minute walk into “town”. Only stayed 1 night but would have stayed more if we could.

Comfort and stay wise I'd give 4 star. But they have nice garden which is nice to walk ard early morning. The staffs are helpful and kind enough to spray anti mosquito spray at night and also prepare and pack breakfast when we informed them early check out. The food may not be as good as proper breakfast but appreciate the effort.

Nice ambience with a couple of old colonial structures served as main lodge with dining and another lodge next to it. There are new Tudor wing rooms too. Rooms can be noisy if there is a big tourist group. Buffet food prepared for breakfast almost always not enough if you are a late riser. So be an eager beaver for breakfast!

Nice looking hotel. It has good service and kind staff members from what I saw. Breakfast was delicious and you have a nice variety of food. Only complaint is that the fridge makes a lot of sound and it is a bit annoying when you try to sleep. In the end I had to turn it off.

Friendly staff, and a beautiful old building. But a little warning that my 1kg laundry will cost $20 would be nice. Also it's a bit out of the center, so you'll be either forced to stay I the hotel, or rent bicycles (another 2.5k kyat).
