Asked to get an official AC Adapter for my laptop. They told me they had one in stock over the phone for roughly USD 90, which was an inflated price. Nonetheless I agreed to purchase over then phone and when I arrived they told me that a.) I had to give them the exact serial of my laptop b.) bring the actual laptop and c.) leave it there for them to install software on it so they could "check" it. I clarified that it was NOT the internal power supply, but the external adaptor/cord I needed. They insisted that I should leave the laptop there and I left as I felt they were being fraudulent. I am a computer technician myself and there is no reason for software to be installed etc., for a simple AC/DC adaptor.
