If this place rates more than 1 I am surprised
The power is off for 10 hours a day, going off at 06:00 just when you need lighting in the bathroom, there is no hot water at the hand basin, the shower is un-screened and the tiles when wet are very slippery.
Almost none of the staff have any basic English
I ordered spring rolls they were off the menu
Last night I asked for some bananas and was offered so form of drink
I highly recomend any one condemplating a stay here don't
Thus far it has ruined my trip to Myanmar, please if travelling to this part of the world avoid this place lie the plagueresponse / report this review -

Well first of all, they ask for half the money wired in advance. The staff are earnest and are also very good, at apologizing. They asked me for about USD$60 per night and despite getting four rooms we did not get any discount. The major problem is that they advertised rooms accesible via elevator with A/C, Internet, TV and a working fridge. The reality is that they do not mention there is only electricity during the times of 1pm to 3pm and 6pm to 6am. So basically, its hot, stuffy and full of mosquitoes until those hours. Additionally, they use a guest pass system for their internet. I could login to their wifi using the guest passes (which btw ask for in writing as they cannot explain fully in english how to login) but the internet there was nonexistent. The TV had about 10 channels that work (during the times the hotel had power).
Their pool is open from 6am to 6pm, considering that the beach operates on those same hours, the pool is more or less useless. Additionally, there is no direct access to the beach, they recommend you walk down/park on a side road to access the beach.
There rooms are not clean, there are stains on the wall and the sheets generally have a slight smell of cat urine. One of our rooms was not ready and had to be cleaned, despite booking several days in advance as well as payment in advance. This is not acceptable in light of the hotel being mostly empty and not full of guests.
The menu they have for the in house meals was coated in mold. This combined with the fact of no electricity for most of the day made me not use their food delivery service.
As I said, the staff seem to work hard and spend most of their time apologising, leading me to believe that the management is inept. However, the staff also could not forward my call to a room so they also share the ineptness. (I spoke to them in English and native Burmese, they asked me irrelevant questions such as if i was a guest, etc before conceding that they did not know how to route the outside phonecall to the room.)
I cannot recommend this hotel in any conscience.response / report this review -
