Very nice hostel. Good breakfast and also a bonus with afternoon tea where they serve fruit and a juice. Very clean as they clean the room and make beds daily. Plus plenty of toilets and bathroom to use.
Service is first class. Guys and girls at reception are always there to help with any information. Highly recommended!!

It is great to slow down and chill. The rooms are nice and clean. Toilet and showers are spot clean. It is smaller than the ostello Bello and often sold out so better to make a reservation if you want to stay here. I personally think that the location is better. It is easier to get to the old part of town just walking or by bicycle without crossing the railway tracks. Staff is Burmese and speak great English, very friendly. Breakfast got a plus, peanut butter! And Nescafé is your coffee of choice.. or green/black tea

I've been a guest for almost two months and I can tell you that I've loved every moment of my stay. The staff members are friendly, accommodating and look forward to ensuring you have a pleasant stay. The facility is clean and cozy and ran by a lovely family.

I appreciate the fact that I never have to wonder whether or not the blanket on my bed was washed before I arrived, because I've seen the staff change the sheets and blanket after each checkout. The free breakfast is good, I enjoy the daily rotation between two different noodles and fried rice. Along with the main course, they serve fried eggs, bread, fresh fruit and juice. I can't forget to mention their thoughtful decision to have both, Nutella and peanut butter made available for you to enjoy with your morning toast. 😁 If by any chance you are unable to enjoy the morning breakfast, due to an early morning departure, you can make arrangements with the staff the night before and they will gladly prepare a Nutella or peanut butter sandwich for you to takeaway.

The facility is in walking distance to the train station, popular Zegyo (Zay Cho) market and the famous Mandalay restaurant, Shan Ma Ma. It is also located across the street from the cinema (Mega Ace) which shows both local and international films.

Overall, if you are looking for a hostel in a great location, with clean and comfortable beds, air conditioned dorms and private rooms, friendly staff and good breakfast I would highly recommend Downtown @ Mandalay for your stay in Mandalay.

The staff are very friendly and helpful: they ordered taxis for us, booked a boat tickets to Bagan and gave us packed breakfast when we left early in the morning for Bagan. Rooms are fairly simple but perfectly nice. The breakfast was pretty basic and we often went out for local food instead, but it's fine (and free!) if you're looking to save money. Wifi was pretty spotty in the rooms.

Friendly and helpful staff with simple rooms!!
The rooms are really basic but clean. They make your bed every day and you get some fruits and juice in the afternoon when you come back from sightseeing. Breakfast is ok- Myanmar style!
The WiFi is unfortunately really bad. In the lobby it works better but in the room no way. That has to be improved!
The staff is really nice and give a lot of useful information.

The best hostel in Myanmar, by far. Amazing staff, amazing breakfast, very clean, very comfortable. Can't say enough good things about this place. Don't wait, just book it!

Reality downtown at Mandalay. Including Breakfast and 24hrs coffee free. Wifi free also and friendly staff. They are helpful.
